Here is the response directly from PAL concerning the "Firt Time Immigrant fare". I know I saw the link to the fare and I wil find it, but this is the email respnse I got from PAL. Ken

Dear Mr. XXXX,

We regret that we do not have a special discount or lower airfare for first time immigrants. However, you were quoted the lowest fare at the time of your booking. In the event that a lower fare becomes available online and you would like to avail of it, you will have to refund your confirmed ticket first to avoid duplicate bookings. Refund will be subject to

relevant fare rules and penalties.

Yea, I know she can accept my text messages I send her from yahoo to her cell for free.

And She buys a $6.00 load every monday but lately she is running out of load by Sat. And she only texts me maybe 30 times a week so I was curious how much she pays per text msg. I can't remember if she uses Smart or Globe. It's my undersatnding there is basically no difference between the 2 with what she uses them for.

I guess I'm curious where all these extra rext messages are going, hehehe. Cuz I want as many as she sends to her friends since I'm payin the bill, hehehe!

Feb to March 2007 Regular Price = USD 654.00 + Php 1,620.00

Feb to March 2007 1st Time Immigrant = USD 604.00 + Php 1,620.00

But she says they give the discount for 1st time immigrant only for San Francisco tickets.

I will still try to ask that 50 dollar disc to add for my pasalubong budget

i guess many of the k-visas are getting their march interviews. what about the CR/IR visas? i hope to hear something this week or i'm gonna go nuts! it's crazy though that from the list compiled here only 1 was scheduled in february.

I don't have a cell. I just use yahoo messenger to text her.

So all is good. And I found out tonight that the reason we are runnning out of load so fast was because she is CALLING her 2 brothers alot which is real expensive.

There is no charge upon receiving sms(text messages) from abroad to philippines. Using Smart communications yahoo messenger charges 2.5php/text, you can log thru 62580.

The cheapest way to send,as my hubby w1n78 says, is Sun Cellular Companys' unlimited text messaging using msn,yahoo messenger, aol or icq which is 20php/day, 100php/wk or 300/month.

Good Day Fellow VJers!!

Jennie completed her medical exam 1/17-18 this week and everything looks great. During the immunization she was told that SLEC does not give the TD (Tetanus/Diphtheria) vaccine and she would have to get it when she gets to the US. I am guessing that this vaccine is necessary for AOS, correct?

I asked my physician here about that vaccine and whether the vaccine can be given during pregnancy. I was told "ABSOLUTELY NOT". The only time a doctor would give that to a pregnant woman is when she cuts herself...say with a rusty nail...and there is the risk of infection.

So my question is....

What if she gets pregnant right away upon entering the US and is unable to get the vaccine for AOS? Will they still approve AOS based on this? Any thoughts or experiences on this?

HI Mike and Jennie! It is safe to give the TD even when she gets pregnant, it is usually given on the 3rd trimester approximately two weeks before giving birth so as to transfer the antibodies from the mother to the fetus providing protection for the baby. In fact it is advised here by obstetrician to prevent greater risk of consequences if not given as a preventive measure during pregnancy. So if she gets pregnant right away, i think you can ask your obstetrician to provide a letter to assure that the vaccine will be given on the appropriate time. It's not a Zoom office you seek, it is a branch of PCI Bank. If you go inside zoom, they will give you a listing of all branches by city and address.

I just called the Embassy and they are still putting together packages to send out but my interview date is March 21st. The website is not updated for this information just yet also... so if anyone wants to know their dates you can call now or wait until they update the website

Sharing latest information on CFO registration after you have completed your Guidance and Counseling at PRISM.

Take note that at PRISM, they have a limit of 15 participants for the seminar and counseling. So if you come in the morning and you happen to be number 16, you have to wait till the afternoon session.**

The good thing is, the Guidance/Counseling and PDOS or pre departure orientation seminar has been incorporated in one place. So after this, all you need to do is go to to CFO to get your sticker and green certificate which will take less than an hour.

**Although in my case, they graciously allowed me into the morning session and I got my certificate right after the counseling.

My wife attended the seminar today. They sent her to the one in Quezon City. She was informed that she could get her certificate Tuesday. her interview is Thursday (6:00PM Wednesday EST). This is such a nervous feeling, as I read disappointments in getting the visa approval from others. She has everything with her, so I just don't see where there could be any issues that would prevent her approval. I wish I could be there with her, but my job prevents me being gone over two days at the time right now. So, we are putting our faith in God to work for us!
