Hi windchaser, i see that we have the same interview date. Did your fiance already went for her medical exam? i did....its really a long wait for the release of the documents. actually after the st. lukes's experience she will gain more friends because of the long wait, right patiently?

Hello windchaser & feelinblue,

Yup, because of the loooooong wait involved during the entire process, I gained a lot of friends. We were chatting and yacking away like old friends while waiting for our turn to be called.

My medical turned out okay. There was no "internal examination" involved and I'm glad for that. The lady doctor just made a quick peep and that was it. I was expecting side effects from the vaccine shots but so far so good. No pain, no fever.

By the way Wind, the packet can be picked up at Ground Floor, Releasing section, Counter F, at St. Luke's. Just make sure you call the Embassy and tell them to forward your fiancee's packet to St. Luke's.

Boy, am I glad this medical thingy is over and done with.

Now on to the interview, sigh....

My Parent's Timeline

2011-03-14: Mailed application to USCIS

2011-03-16: Application was recieved NOA1 to follow in the mail.

2011-03-21: Received text stating application recieved 03/16/2011.

2011-03-28: Received NOA1 for both petition in the mail.

2011-06-20: Received NOA2 for both petition in the mail. (APPROVED!!)

--- NVC ---

2011-07-21: Haven't heard anything from NVC. Called them and was informed that the Approved Petition was received 2011-06-18. What's taking them so long?!?!?!

2011-07-22: Back on track! Called the 24 hr hotline and got the NVC Number (^__^)

2011-07-23: My parents e-mailed NVC and filed DS-3032 electronically.

2011-07-25: I received an e-mail stating that I am the Choice of Agent for my Parents.

2011-07-25: Called NVC and I got their Invoice Identification Number!!!

2011-07-26: Made online payment for AOS Bill.

2011-07-27: Made online payment for IV Bill.

2011-07-29: AOS payment posted PAID

2011-09-27: Sent AOS, DS-230 & supporting documents to NVC.

2011-10-19: CASE COMPLETE

2011-11-17: Medical Complete

2011-12-08: INTERVIEW!!! - MOM got approved. DAD on AP!!!

2011-12-16: DAD was issued a visa

Long story short my Fiancee never got the packet. Here the situation......I called and they said you could take the medical 2 weeks before the Embassy interview but i told her My fiancee was in Bohol and that 2 weeks would be kinda hard. She said we could have the medical on the 20th of Feb. and that you don't need a appointment to go. First come first serve. She said that was plenty of time and they would have the packet there the 20th. How long will it take for them to give the results to the Embassy? Hehe thinking maybe I should call them back and get it sooner?? :help::help::unsure:

how did everyone check to see if manila embassy had recieved petition from NVC? also when they said they recieved it was it back dated (what i mean is if you found out on feb 14th that manila had inputed your filed was it dated a little bit back like feb 7th?)

A friendly advise, the earlier your fiancee gets her medical, the better. There are so many "unknowns" that can delay the medical process. For example, if your fiancee catches a cold, St. Lukes will not let her undergo the medical. Someone I spoke to who had a cough when she showed up for her medical said she was asked to report to St. Lukes every single day for a week until her cough was gone.

Applicants who show up for medical during their monthly cycle are also asked to come back after their cycle has ended.

Ladies, please take note and memorize the first and last day of your monthly cycle, you will be asked for this info at least three times by the doctors and nurses at the clinic.

Ryecatcher, I found out my embassy receipt date by e-mailing: ConsIVManila@state.gov They replied to me after three months! Others here called the Manila Embassy directly.

I called either the Embassy directly or DOS, i can't remember.

Thanks for the advice, i will talk to my fiancee and see what we can do. Of course the last thing i want to do is miss the interview because of the medical. The tricky thing is she is going to stay with a friend in Manila and not sure how long she can stay. Spending another 100 bucks on a plane ticket seems stupid. Oh well :blink:

June 18, 2006 - touched

June 23, 2006 - NOA 1 for both AOS and EAD

July 25, 2006 - Biometrics schedule

Aug. 15, 2006 - NOA 2 for AOS...interview scheduled Oct.12'06 in Detroit

Aug. 31, 2006 - EAD touched

Sep. 5, 2006 - EAD APPROVED!!!!! .... waiting for them to mail the card

Sep. 12, 2006 - EAD card arrives....wooooooooooooooohooooooooooo

Oct. 12, 2006 - AOS interview......Successful!!! whew

Oct. 19, 2006 - Approval notice arrives in the mail (WELCOME TO AMERICA!!)

Oct. 23, 2006 - Green Card arrives!!!!
