Uling, it's in your link #2 packet 4 information, item 1. Thanks for the update.
(2). The Manila Embassy (USE) Packet 4, the phone number, a visa interview testimony, along with a sample Appointment Letter are within my signature block. NOTE: Packet 4 can be acquired from the Manila Embassy website which gives directions on what documents are required by the beneficiary for the visa interview. Starting 01 November 2006, ALL nonimmigrant visa applicants must use the online Electronic Visa Application Form (EVAF) to complete the DS-156 (Nonimmigrant Visa Application). To date, only the DS-156 has the barcode (on the first and last page) and is the ONLY form available online at http://evisaforms.state.gov. You may complete the DS-156K (Nonimmigrant Fiancé(e) Visa Application) and the DS-157 (Supplemental Nonimmigrant Visa Application) (this is the form the bank validates when you pay the visa application fee) via the computer, type-writer, or handwritten. Hopefully the Manila Embassy will update their packet 4 information to clearly indicate the instructions.

I think you got confused with him addressing both forms in 1 sentance there oakwell, uling clearly stated that the ds-157 is the form that is validated when payment is made .

No, I checked it. It is a mistake on US Embassy Letterhead (accessed from Uling's link). They are the ones who listed the wrong form. It doesn't give me much of a warm and fuzzy feeling that the Embassy lists the wrong form in their letter. I re-read it twice. They instruct to have the DS156 validated. But Lilia recently paid her USE fee at BPI and they issued her a stamped DS157 blank that she had to [again] complete and copy.

Finally a "real" update on our status: According to Delbros website, the USE released the visa on Dec. 27 and it is now at the Delbros distribution center. Hopefully delivery to Makati won't take too long. But I'm not holding my breath until her little fingers are clutching the envelope they give her.

Thats not the only error on the part of the govt.

I see on the DOS website when you try to get the ds-156k or the ds-156 forms they both go to the same link and they only provide the ds-156 form.

Its good to see our tax dollars and application fees are being spent on first rate services.

Yeah!!! That's a relief, but even more so when you have the visa in hand. Come on Delbros!!! How is your baby holding up?

Yes, it's bad. Apparently some phone cables were cut when the earthquake hit off the coast of Taiwan. The news said this could take 2 or 3 weeks to fix. :help:

Its been an emotional roller-coaster of a two-weeks, let me tell you. But she's been strong for the most part. In typical filipna fashion: "don't worry babe, our time will come, God is just saying it's not right now."

I hope so. I'm trying to set up my fiancee's trip for her medical exam in about 10 days from now. It's tough to do that without phone calls.

I did notice an unusual number of disconnects last night when I was online with Mira. She has Bayantel DSL. The phone line was bad too. But at least land line, mobile and internet were working even if sparodic in Butuan City region.
