1) did anyone pass the interview with a blurry BC? i ordered online so i can have a more clear BC but ecensus emailed me that i got a blurry BC, they need more days to re-verify it manually so i might not have my BC on time from them, but i got a BC in NSO paper but yes kinda blurry.

2) on I-134,Affidavit of support,question#11 we followed sample online to put n/a k1 visa for permanent resident, and it's been notarized, i read on other forum that the correct answer is to check intend and add "All expenses and support as needed." how can we correct it? i'm so worried.. can we just make new one here in the philippines and notarized where? or can we just use wipe out to make corrections? please help! my fiance is on the plane right now going with me on our interview - mini

1) Take your chance with the blurry BC. The worst that can happen is for you to be put in AR for a few weeks as the embassy orders another BC from NSO.

2) My fiance answered "n/a" and it was accepted. Please don't make any corrections on a notarized document. That would render it invalid.

22: When do you intend to arrive in the U.S.?: It says: When visa is granted. What should she put there? She has a February 1st interview date, but sure we don’t know when she will arrive.

28: Who will pay for the trip? it says: myself But if i pay it will she list: My fiancé

33: Do you intent to study in the U.S.?: She wishes too go too school, but at this time we don't know yet where she will start to study. Should she still say YES and if so what should be put in that box? But she wishes too work also, but she already listed that on line 32.

I would reply this way:

21. "None"

22. "When visa is granted" is an acceptable response but better if you can give a date “February 15, 2007 (tentative)”

23. If you are paying, then reply should be "My fiance"

24. Intend to study? - "Yes"

School - "Don't know yet at this time"

Intend to work? - "Yes"

Employer - "Don't know yet"

Do you have any recommendations for Boracay lodging?

We have stayed at high-end and low-end resorts in Boracay. Boracay Regency (high-end) starts at $112/day (with buffet breakfast). It has complete facilities and has the widest beach-front in all of Boracay. Very nice hotel but pricey.

The low-end (but clean and immaculate) Escondido Resort http://www.escondidoboracay.net/index.php is situated in a quiet area and is a 2-minute walk to the beach and just a few minutes tricycle ride away to the center of Boracay. For their price, the rooms are large. Current rate as follows:

2 nights/3 days package (with daily breakfast)

Lean season (June 16-Oct. 31) – P2,400/person

Peak season (Nov. 1 - June 15) – P4,150/person

If you plan to go to Boracay, it is cheaper to book through Philippine Airlines' Palakbayan promo (as long as you don't mind the 2-hour ride from airport to wharf). 1) did anyone pass the interview with a blurry BC? i ordered online so i can have a more clear BC but ecensus emailed me that i got a blurry BC, they need more days to re-verify it manually so i might not have my BC on time from them, but i got a BC in NSO paper but yes kinda blurry.

2) on I-134,Affidavit of support,question#11 we followed sample online to put n/a k1 visa for permanent resident, and it's been notarized, i read on other forum that the correct answer is to check intend and add "All expenses and support as needed." how can we correct it? i'm so worried.. can we just make new one here in the philippines and notarized where? or can we just use wipe out to make corrections? please help! my fiance is on the plane right now going with me on our interview - mini

1) Take your chance with the blurry BC. The worst that can happen is for you to be put in AR for a few weeks as the embassy orders another BC from NSO.

2) My fiance answered "n/a" and it was accepted. Please don't make any corrections on a notarized document. That would render it invalid.

We got there this past Friday so we missed the storm. it was beautiful during the weekend but it was a bit windy on sunday. we came back on monday.

Mae was approved for her visa. I asked to pickup visa, still waiting for their call to pick up the visa. Apparently, all visas are sent back to US for final clearence/approval. CO said we would be able to pick up today, but it was not ready. The staff there are trained to tell you "wait until we call you and don't make any travel arrangements."

We were both were sworn in during the interview and I was surprised at the number of questions I was asked. CO was friendly and there was a lot of small talk.

Will post more about the interview later. This forum has been a great help...

but i can see that the last interview date to some people here was on feb 22, 2006.

our approval letter stated that the visa is only allowed till feb?? so is this ok because if we received it an interview date on march then the approval is already over due is this gonna be a problem???

well i need some input on how to get that packets without waiting for it to arrived in my fiancee house add.., regarding the interview date im just gonna wait till march im ok with that... hehehe

or even april no rush here especially with all the people applying for the visa...

The consulate will automatically extend the approval. Most interviews in Manila are after the original expiration of the petition approval.

Maybe an update on our situation. My congressman receives eMail from embassy dated December 15 they have now approved the visa, and will contact her to "complete processing the visa." I think that is a way of saying but NOT saying that it is still "pending" but hopefully I'm wrong and Delbros will soon have good news for us.

mae_jim, congratulations! I am curious why you say apparently all visas are sent back to US for final approval? Do you mean electronically? Also as our interview approaches quickly would love to know more about your interview experience and the kinds of questions they are asking. Finally, was there any resistance to your request to pick up the visa at the embassy?
