Anybody else have trouble logging onto appointment site this morning?

Hi.

Appointment site has been down since this afternoon, Manila time. First thing that came to mind was.. "they could be updating!!!" :)

Don't want to keep hopes up but then.... it's 9:30 p.m. here, Manila time.. so I'm hoping we see some good news in 11 hours or so. More so for you and the others who seem to gotten skipped! Of course me on the border line can wait next month for March skeds.

But still....

Fingers crossed, :)

Yes, I forgot to include bring with you your original Appointment letter and a photocopy of it- the guard will not let you go inside until you have the photocopy. I had my medical last Thursday -December 14, 2006. So far I brought with me 8..it doesn't hurt if you bring more than what's needed. If your fiance doesn't have any vaccination history or any medical reports that's fine and even if she does have those and didn't bring it with her it's still A-ok!!! It's recommended though that if she has vaccination history so that she will not have the shots anymore... just like the girl that's with me during the medical she brought her vaccination history, after the medical procedures and interview she just waited for her medical result on the ground floor, she did not wait for another hour or so for her name to be called for the vaccination.

Ok, so now I am confused. You need to bring the appointment letter and a copy? I thought that if you didn't get the packet 4 you could pick it up at St.Lukes. How can you do that if you didn't get the appointment letter in the first place?

Hi Gary,

I've read posts here saying that one can just present a valid ID and tell the guard you are picking up the packet.

I observed the same the time we got an approval. The site for checking the case number was down and then BOOM there goes a flood of appointments. Fingers crossed for you guys and toes too! Hope ya'll going to get an appointment soon.

Right now I am organizing my documents in the folder and in sequence according the the instruction and I hope I did this right. I am a bit nervous but at the same time excited to face the consul. Geeeeeee I had to paste the pictures in the bond paper so that its going to be organize inside the folder and even included some of my scrapbook pages. Huhuhuhu

Going to go to SLEC maybe just around this week. I am finding it hard to get up early morning hahaha...No worries though coz sched of medical will be January 12, just wanting to be ahead.

To dear VJ friends who have added me to their "Friend" list, I'm not sure if I'm supposed to click anything to acknowledge being added to your list. Please don't think that I am ignoring you. I do appreciate being in your list but this old hag is not computer-savvy so bear with me please as I try to find my way around the new VJ format.

Thank you!

Thanks for making that list and keeping it updated! I really appreciate it! It's keeping me hanging on...sigh.

Hi guys! I and a couple of other girls (vj'ers) are going to have our Medical Exam and CFO next month. We are going to attend the seminar first and then the day after that, we will take our medical exam (3 weeks earlier than scheduled).

What do we need to bring with us?

for thos who already done CFO and Medical, which hotel is the best/nearest/not expensive and has dsl connection to stay? I would like to bring my vonage device with me so that i'll still be able to talk to my fiance.

*CFO

Whats the difference bet PRISM and CFO?

where should we go 1st? what are the requirements?

do we still need to bring photos, forms, emails, chats, etc?

*Medical

any tips like taking vitamins and supplements?

I have a chest xray that was taken when i had a check up for my cough 6 months ago, should i show it to them?

I have had vaccinations for Hepa B, and cholesterol and sugar counts etc, should i also show these to them?

Requirements to be brought for the medical? how many 2x2 pictures, forms etc? will they need my fiance's documents like affidavit of support, pay stubs and the like?

Thank you very much guys. VJ'ers have been great help for us on this process.

Thank you to whoever will take the time to reply to this post. God Bless and Merry Christmas!

Hey there, just wondering if I can join you guys in your plans in taking your CFO and medical early? My scheduled medical examination in February 14, and the inteview is February 21. Please let me know, thanks.

Our Interview is Feb 13 and they sceheduled our Medical Exam for Feb 6 but we are doing the CFO and Medical Exam the week of Jan 8. I'm putting together a checklist and notes for CFO and Medical Exam.

hi! my answers are in bold letters.

Hello to all,

I know many are going nuts getting ready for there big day. We are trying too get all our things done as well.

On the example copy of the DS-156, we had questions about the following line numbers:

21: Present Occupation: she is not working, what should we list her as?

just say unemployed. that's what i wrote in my form as i have resigned from my work already long before the interview date.

22: When do you intend to arrive in the U.S.?: It says: When visa is granted. What should she put there? She has a February 1st interview date, but sure we don’t know when she will arrive.

if you haven't booked a flight yet, that answer is fine.

28: Who will pay for the trip? it says: myself But if i pay it will she list: My fiancé

tell her to put your name, not just "my fiancé"

33: Do you intent to study in the U.S.?: She wishes too go too school, but at this time we don't know yet where she will start to study. Should she still say YES and if so what should be put in that box? But she wishes too work also, but she already listed that on line 32.

just mark X on both boxes (intend to study and intend to work)

Thanks too all for your help and god bless you all!

Victor

and you might want to check this out too. a list of commonly missed out questions on the forms posted by brittaniquec_Chic. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...ost&id=2005

goodluck on filling up the forms! that can really be stressful.

i called saint luke's and told them that i will pick up my packet. at that time, the waiting was just driving me crazy so i decided not to wait for the packet. if you are just going to pick up the packet, the guards at St. Luke's will let you in. you just need to show a valid ID. but, if you're there for your medical, they will not let you in without the appointment letter.

So if you tell the guard you are at St. Lukes to pick up the packet, how does he know you are not really there to take the medical exam? Can't you pick up the packet the same day you take the medical exam?

actually you can have your medical the same day you pick up your packet. when i picked up my packet, the nurse asked me if i wanted to have my medical exam that day. but since it was too early to get my medical done (the nurse's advice was to wait until one month before my interview), i declined.

then again, if you want to have your medical the same day you pick up your packet, you have to go back to the guard and ask for the forms that needs to be filled up. when you go back to them, they'll ask to see your appointment letter and they'll ask for a photocopy.
