question for some of the AR people after spending weeks tryin to figure the reason for AR's, and after speaking to several sources (immigration officials, lawyers, political aids and manila itself) ive found that most AR's are do to the fiancee being over 25 for reason to verify no previous marriages as being the no#1 reason.

im curious for those that are waiting for AR's if they are over 25. and if so is there any documents that those that are over 25 can get to verify no other marriages exist????

p.s. i know better then to ask a lady her age :D so im just asking for yes to being over 25

THANKS! JoseandHelen for doing the introduction, ur wife was so very nice and im very thankful to meet her personally, i havent got time to spread our good news "APPROVED VISA" news bcos my fiance doesnt want to missed the day of celebration!

Anyway, I just wna shared some info's ive got from what ive been & my fiance processing this petition.

PURPLEDONKEY, sorry to hear ur in AR.. but my advice is only to go for senator's office for them to update it, theres no harm doing so. Becos when i undergo the interview yesterday .... me & my fiance only stay at the US embassy yesterday for only 2 HOURS, arrived there by 630am and went out 830am, REASON are .......

Ive notice the lady who giving number that she pulled a rectangular slip carton which is blank when it faced me and she tried clipping on the number she will be giving me. When it handed over with the preliminary interview ... we only stay about 5-10mins waiting for number to call in every occassion step we should undergo, then simple interview from them and seeing my fiance with me is really a BIG HELP, tho im confident i cud manage alone.. but still its really help out alot.

Why i say dat, is becos ... when were called for CO interview (RM27).. was been sworned infront of my fiance and we are both interviewed, but when the CO tried to open our files .. ive seen .. that all the documents sent out on first sending of petition, the APPROVED stamp sticked on it, they say that CO interview is just formality and some might got in AR bcos of incomplete documents .... when i sent my documents to my fiance even xerox copies ... i completed it ... since my BC --- to my diplomas and employment certs. BUT.......

to my amazed .... when im into preliminary ... i was only asked for BC & NBI and affidavit and 3 albums of my pics (about 50pcs) and the officer just stack it on with the xerox copies i submitted before... they just wna get the originals of BC & NBI... when i was asked if ive been married before since ive got a son.... im the one who offered my CENOMAR original, they say no need bcos they got already xerox copy attached sent by my fiance.

Me & my fiance are very prepared, i felt sorry to one filipina yesterday , she was so young and unprepared ... only advice to some fiance pls be prepared for your fiancee to overcome success into this journey.... try to complete everything before sending the petition at first. my fiance done the checklist asked by the processing of petition in the US, he just clipped on and do another checklist like "OTHER DOCUMENTS" ( even dat was not on the list u need to submit, we just sent more wat they asked for)

THE THINGS WE'VE DONE BEFORE WE STARTED THE PETITION:

1) all documents needed ive got it, from BC , nbi, diplomas, employment , even resume i did notarized

2) all xerox documents i fedex to my fiance to US were been authenticated by MALACANANG & DFA already

that seems my docs 1st page was the red ribbonized paper from DFA

3) we do checklist of everything of necessary documents might asked, even they dont asked.

4) if U THINK, u find processing were too long or late, NOT BAD to asked help from SENATOR

- tho my fiance is a retired (accident on duty) sergeant atlanta police and the senator there is who

handled homeland security directly ..... HE FLAGGED our petition "EXPEDITED".

5) about the affidavit of support of my fiance, 1st i was worried, bcos the wages reflect to his income tax

is "0" , but he attached a "letter of explanation" how his pensioned given to him and how much monthly,

also explained he still received disability benefits from atlanta police lifetime.

NOTE: you do not worry about affidavit of support, its better to be honest than to lied about it, there's

always a freedom of speech, you cud always attached "letter of explanation" that they will clearly

understand everything.

THATS WHY:

the interview scheduled we had yesterday were so fast, bcos the slipped attached to my number , and that been attached to our files seems the "EXPEDITED" note .......

the ONLY , CO says to us at the end of interview was " ALL INFORMATIONS WE NEEDED ARE WITH US ALREADY" so we will be processing ur visa....... CONGRATULATIONS!!!

NOTE: I do hope i dont get offended people who might be reading this info's ..... the only thing comes to my mind.... is when i SAW THAT FILIPINA GIRL dat seems dont know what she will need to do on that SPECIAL DAY". I really felt sorry for her, all i wna do that time is to help her organized her files of documents she brought it. all things where really started when we filed the petition in US, if couples could just sit in hand together and planned, make a checklist ... using money to obtained alot of documents even not necessary or important is nothing ... IF this MEANS >> YOU GONNA BE WITH YOUR LOVE ONES FOR LIFETIME THEN IT IS IMPORTANT.

GOD BLESS TO ALL!!! Me & my fiance RYAN would like to take this opportunity to thanks all of Vjer's who happened always been with us thru thick and thin of this journey ..... without VJ we didnt know and didnt get prepared for everything.

regards to all!! :)

Another info's to share .....

Everyone who will undertake interview, dont be nervous .... bcos the only thing i experienced that day is that, before i went there, they already got result of your petition.

I happened to talked with one of CO's and he says, its really formality ... if both of you and ur fiance believe, you never lacked of documents. and presented documents never asked but u seems important to proved everything ... then your seeing the light.

Reasons were: .....

in my case - im a single mom - only to proved im not into marriage before - CENOMAR is the answer, and i guess every single lady should get CENOMAR only to proved no marriage records really, theres no harm proving a thing that you really believe nothing.

other cases - divorce/annuled , better have checklist of your documents needed think wat matter most

affidavit of support - is very important, it is a MEANS of living to start a family.

Reasons CO says undergoing AR

1) incomplete documents

2) age - really matters, BUT this will reflect on proof of relationship means.... age will be dont matters if the proof of relationship is very genuine as they scanned everything.

their BASED on what documents been submitted at the start of the petition, and before interview they already scanned every documents you've presented. even your profession or former jobs, they will asked it. So when in time of interview, CO's already knew what they need to asked to you for you to answered it face to face.

- I went to my interview have doubts, so i bring a sack of my documents i knew we did sent already, even my fiance got xerox copy all he submitted in US to start the petition. But it pays off the burden of bringing everything, bcos ive got approved and the only papers taken form me was "4 roiginal documents" BC, NBI (of mine) BC (of my son - ive give NBI of my son, but they give it back to me) & the affidavit of suport.

PICTURES TIP ........

i bring 3 kodak albums with me ..... morely the vacation we spent together of my fiance , BUT at the end of my albums ... i slipped 5 pictures of me at my work place and workmates ...... i do that only to proved that, that is my profession, bcos at my preliminary interview ... when the CO sees dat pictures of mine in my work, she asked me "ohh ur a nurse?" i said yes i happened to be a nursing assistant, then she write it down to the paper of her evaluation to me, bcos all the things she questioned to you and you've answer back to her, she will write it down, and so at the final interview ... the CO, will read that and asked again to u just to verify everything.

:D Well, I came on here earlier to see how everyone is doing and was going to type some replies...but I got called away by an incoming TM. Know what?

:dance: Chalk up another APPROVED!! Wooohooooo!!

I haven't got the details yet. Poor woman was starving--she didn't sleep last night and was too nervous to eat this morning--so had to get some food in her. :( We talked for a little bit while she was waiting in line, and she said they were impressed with how organized all the paperwork was, and that the interviewers were very polite. So definite tip there, that ties in with what RebelHeart said: going overboard on organizing and logical presentation of material seems to help. (My final assembled 'document' was over 2.25" thick.)

I will pass on more details when they become available. :D

Thank you for your well-wishes and prayers, PW, R&W, Soul, JoseandHelen--they definitely helped!

And CONGRATULATIONS, too, J&H!!

PurpleDonkey, I'm so sad to hear about the AR. Have they said anything further on how long it might take them to figure out she is who she says she is and not someone else with the same name? At least...I got the feeling that is what they are doing...smack me if I'm wrong there. I pray they clear it up soon.

Andrew, I'm really curious to find out what Lira is embarassed about! Come on--share with the group.

Danoco - you asked about age? Lyra is 28 years old and I'm 34...so she's over 25, but we're not too far apart in age (which may also affect how they look at the cases).

Good luck everyone, and thanks!!!

Waiting - I can't believe they've kept you in limbo all this time! OMG! :clock: What are they waiting for? Even at the glacial speed of government, they should have figured something out by now. Heck, even the VA works faster than that!

I can't imagine wating that long. :crying:

I hope and pray they get things taken care of soon.

Congrats :D

Hi Purple,

This might be a help for you: http://www.usaimmigrationattorney.com/Secu...tiveReview.html

There's also a telephone number given for follow-ups.

I am thinking that you're now experiencing a "False Hit" from their database :( But I'm sure you'll be out of that soon.

Thanks PW for the support. Pray for me guys!!! :)

Blessings,

Wendy
