This is a rather simplistic question, but maybe someone tell this simplistic Amerikano. The case number is obviously 2006-for the year, but the next three (in our case 786), is that a sequential number that I can use to predict a future date based on an earlier number being scheduled? Like Luzy's number is 783, ours is 786, so does that mean she is 3 days or 3 weeks ahead of us?

Hi there! The last time I phoned the embassy aside from inquiring about the latest status of my case I was fortunate to ask a couple of questions to the customer representative to received my call, and among those questions is about how do they determine the interview dates and was it based on case numbers. She told me that their basis is the date the petition became "documentarily qualified." In my case I find it true, my case number is MNL2006805*** yet just now after checking on the interview dates and schedule link I was able to get mine scheduled for February 14 for the medical and February 21, 2007 for the interview respectively.

I just got home from work! Very good news!!!! I just bought my airplane tickets. I get there on Feb 13, Luz, Robin and I spend Valintines day together in Manila and on the 15'th we go to the interview!! WOOT!!!!

Our interview is the 15th, not the 14th. It would have been great to have the interview on Valentines day but I will take the 15th!!!

Friends, just list down all of your info ~ NOA2, Embassy receipt date, packet receipt date, interview date, Manila case number, your home state, fiance's hometown. I'll try to get the list back up again on Tuesday.

KTMguy, the proof of payment will be recorded on the DS 156 or DS 157 form (I'm not sure now which form). When your fiancee is ready to make the payment, make sure she brings the two forms to the bank with her.

Haven't been online lately and boy, is this thread busy! And I have to admit, I have been just a silent lurker before that. I just can't contain myself right now. Everyone's happiness is sooo contagious!

For all of those with interview dates like ours on or around Feb 15th, where are you staying? It would be nice to have dinner with some of the members here and put a face to the names. We are thinking about Executive Plaza, trying to stay close to the Embassy.

If you have not made reservations yet, try this link to get great Hotel prices. Precision Reservations and if you know of a site that gets better prices let me know. On this site after you get the list of Hotels and prices, you can select by area by clicking on "Manila Map" in the right margin, then selecting Malate. There is 9 hotel in the Malate area close to the Embassy. Most are very expensive, but he Executive was $32 a night when I checked yesterday.

Gary you said you bought your tickets already, just curious what kind of price you got? I have been checking and found ticket from Hawaii arouns $611 round trip 13-25 Feb 07. I used these two link as they let you get one-way from Manila online and get good prices. Best Travel Store and TravelPH .

For those of you in Hawaii, Emerson Travel usually beats all online dicount prices and their number is 597-1818, ask for Theresa. I will be calling her this morning at 0900 when they open. Ken & Maria
