Suggestion: if you would like to check the status of your visa after the interview, try to call the Dept. of State's (DOS) no. which is 202-6631225 ext. 100. a visa specialist will be able to give you some useful information about the status of your case. just provide the case no. (e.g. MNL2006723XXX) and the beneficiary's name,

Does it matter on the Port Of Entry for my Fiance enters the USA? She will be flying to San Fran to transfer & She will have to go through Immigration there, then take a domestic flight to JFK. My Fiance put JFK down as the Port Of Entry not knowing that She 1st will be transfering from San Franisco. Does this matter? I plan to pick her up in New York later the same day.... But I wont be in San Fran. This is a simple question & cant get an answer on!

Travel plans change so it does not matter what port of entry she wrote down in her visa application form. Nothing to worry about.

Anyway I have a question, I am planning on attending the CFO guidance and counseling as soon as I can. Do you think this is possible? What can I do? GEEZZ Im so lost! Shaking! and uuhhhh....

My fiance was told that the packet has been sent out last friday but until now I don't have it yet. I am kind of worried because I am only here in manila and uuugggghhhh what's taking so long?

Last year, a guy was made to wait on a bench outside while his fiance underwent CFO seminar. The seminar is supposed to be for migrating Filipinos so you would not probably be let in. Remember, CFO is supposed to "brainwash" the ladies about marrying you guys and they don't want you to see how they do it . But rules may have changed.

Call St. Lukes and you can pick up the packet there.

My Fiance waited until after the Visa was issued for the CFO...

You don't need the VISA to go to the CFO. Please don't post misleading information.

Madison did not post misleading information. He only informed us that his fiance waited until after visa was issued. CFO needs to see the visa before they actually stamp the passport. No visa, no stamp. You can go to the seminar ahead of the visa but you still have to wait for visa to be issued to get the CFO stamp.

One has the option to undergo CFO "before" or "after" visa issuance. For some, especially those who live away from Manila or Cebu, it is more convenient for them to get it done after visa issuance because they only have to go to CFO once since CFO won't stamp the sticker until after they see the visa.

For some ladies, CFO sometimes gives them a harder time if they undergo CFO before visa issuance because CFO would require the ladies to submit more documents like the USC's W2, letter of employment, etc. CFO will try to do "background check" on the USC whereas if CFO sees the visa stamped, they don't ask questions anymore.

The answer from Madison Man was:

1st I think you need to get through the interview. The reason is you need to have the Office at the CFO see all of the Documents.

This is misleading. Many people attend the CFO and go back later with their VISA to get the stamp.

You have to call. The USE is really moving now on the petitions! We are so happy, this is sooner than we had hoped!!

Hello everyone, I am just wondering when will the embassy send me the instruction packet. We already received NOA2 for 129F and then now the DS-3032 Choice of Agent and address. After returning that to NVC, what are the next updates and how long till i will receive my medical exam and interview appointment letter. Thank you so much for helping me in this matter.
