Sorry PW, I haven't been online here in a while and we owe you a reply.

You asked about Panglao since our timeline shows we have been there a bunch of times. I will divulge some good info for all the Philippines couples. The Alona Palm resort in Panglao, Bohol is one of the most beautiful, romantic spots on earth. And I have done a LOT of traveling. It is not cheap by Philippine standards but not super expensive either - around $120 US per night for a huge, private villa. It has beautiful grounds, a giant pool, beach, restaurant and more, and there are only 12 villas altogether. Their service is personal and very friendly. For example, they set up a terrific breakfast every morning on the private patio of the villa at no extra charge. I took some pictures (attached here) because the setting was so perfect to start every day we wanted to remember it.

We love the Panglao area for great diving too! Mari and I have been to Balacasag Island (30 minutes by boat) for the fantastic reef diving several times. It's so full of sea-life, I feel like I'm in an IMAX film! Mari had a very memorable experience there with a meter-long Titan Triggerfish (see the attached pic). I also heard that Apo Island (day trip by boat from Panglao) is even better than Balacasag.

We have also toured all the sights of Bohol too by rented motorbike, absolutely the best way to get around. What we like about Panglao is that it is not a big party place like Boracay. It offers a more laid back, natural, and romantic experience. We could take quiet walks at night on the beach under a perfect full moon and it just seemed too good to be true.

Would they tell you why? Is it the "late registered" BC?

Nope, they won't say ANYTHING. Maybe my congressman can get the specifics. There was no indication it was the BC, because they did not care to see any supplemental info we had in that regard. In fact, Jenalyn did not receive a 221(g) slip stating grounds for delay, only thing she received was pink-slip for payment of Delbros. At window 37, Jenalyn asks if everything is "OK" and the lady nods her head and said everything is "fine."

Wow!! Such great news on approved petitions and new scheduled interviews as well. It looks like the USE has finally found new resources or set a new priority on K1 interviews because, where they WERE falling farther behind every month, they are now making good headway on the long queue of petitions.

As of right now all bets are off on predictions while they continue to release additional interview slots BEFORE their upcoming announcement of February slots. And that's a GOOD thing!! We have all moved nicely up the list since the January slots were announced. Mari and I were thinking March (MNL2006-789xxx) but now, February is looking pretty good. This has been a great development for all of us!

Have vic&el4ever, davidjack, or binow checked in case they have a scheduled date? It would be helpful to hear from them either way.

And GOOD LUCK Fmerz and Roy in your upcoming interviews!!!!

We have not received the our appointment letter yet, how do we check if we got an appointment date?

Hi guys,

I have a question about tracking the visa. I checked the Delbros site and this is what I got:

12/11/2006 2:38:45 PM SHIPMENT PROCESS IN THE EMBASSY

Does that mean that the visa has been released to Delbros?

Good luck FMerz! Tomorrow will be your day Ron, get the super snacks ready :pop::pop::pop:

Hi Vic&el4ever,

Thanks for the quick response. It helps to know where the USE line for petitions begins and YOU ARE NEXT!! Keep checking each day because your interview date is going to be assigned any day now and definitely within the next week when all of February will be released. RobHankins and ronmay hit the interview jackpot - caught a lucky break being assigned a newly opened December slot that opened up after the January slots were assigned. I wish them good luck in their interviews. We all deserve a lucky break at some point in this process. I'll accept getting a friendly and reasonable person conducting the interview!

Gary, you are keeping everyone on their toes!! You are the 7-11 guy here - always open! Looks like Feb for both of us - unless there is still a January surprise! My wet dream is that we just miss Feb and then some January slots open up!
