My case number was 2006-772xxx and the received date was 10-18 in manila. That was updated on my timeline as well one of these lists. Could we get that done again?

PW, it is not that those of us in AR did not have our documents ready it is that the consul wanted to verify one of our documents with the nso. Every time I see someone post like this I just cringe. A document check can and will happen randomly to cases. In talking to the embassy every day Lorrain admitted to me that the embassy lost some paperwork they ordered before our interview which leaves me scratching my head. They tell us to gather up cenomars, bc, mc, nbi but then they go ahead and order duplicates to check and throw people into AR and a lot of times they don't order up duplicates until after the embassy. They batch those requests which can take 4 to 6 weeks. A bit of advice, if your fiance/wife gets AR have her ask if she can carry a copy from NSO to the embassy, this may take time off of a document review related AR.

Take note of the reasons for AR ~ birth certificate, Cenomar, divorce decree ~ so let us make sure our documents are in order.

Hi PW,

I happened to glance at page 1 of this endless thread dating back to January 2006 and what do I see? It's PatientlyWaiting with an I-129F petition from mid-2005 and a January 2006 interview!! I saw a few posts about going into AR because one annulment of your previous marriage wasn't sufficient and realized that the two of you are in your second entire path through this process! It's old news for you but I'm really shocked once again at the totally unnecessary ordeals my government puts good people through.

You guys have more than lived up to your handle going through this twice to be together. And continuing to maintain the list here during all this time is wayyyyy beyond the call of duty. I thought my Mari was the champion Patient Waiter as she has remained with me through more than 18 months finalizing my divorce and then we started the K1 process last June. But going through the whole K1 process twice is a supreme test of any relationship.

Yup, my fiance and I have been going through this process for 20 months now. I married my ex-husband twice but my annulment decree covered only the 2nd marriage so embassy required me to have the 1st marriage annulled too. So two of everything for me: 2 marriages, 2 annulments, and 2 petitions. Practice makes perfect

My future father-in-law said the same thing about his government (unnecessary ordeals that good people has to endure). The embassy also cancelled my tourist visa so there was no chance for me to even visit my fiance in the US. Future Dad was really pissed off.

Is Marichu from Bohol? I see you always travel to Panglao. We love Balicasag Island where snorkelling and diving is great because it’s a marine sanctuary. We might go back one day.

US Embassy does not require fiancee to submit CFO certificate at interview since it is not a US govt. requirement but a Philippine govt. requirement. CFO certificate is not a problem even if it’s older as it has no expiration I believe. Once your fiancee has attended the seminar and has a certificate, the CFO is ready to stamp her passport any time.

Parental consent or advice is not a requirement by US Embassy if fiancee is of legal age, but might as well be ready with it in case the consul asks for it so it should be current.

Although NBI clearance is valid for one year, it is always advisable to submit documents that are less than 6 months old to the embassy. Same goes with BC, MC and annulment decrees. I’m wondering now if some of those who were required to submit new BCs or MCs may have submitted older documents even if there was nothing apparently wrong with what they submitted.

We really never know how the embassy minds work so we better not give them a reason to put us in AR.

I just checked the US Embassy site and notice that there is no link for checking the visa appointment schedule anymore. And also the downloadable forms are gone. So I think our only means of monitoring the appointment is through phone.

first of all. congratulations to all who passed the interview and goodluck also for those who will still be having the interview..

ive been here in the forum almost everyday, and looking for updates and looking for queries like mine,'tis very simple but geeezz im really confused...

im 23 years old, single mom, k1/k2...hoping for february appointment..

im so confused with the ds forms..how many sets of (ds 156, 157, 156-k) please correct me if im wrong...

coz my son is on k2 also..do i have to fill up another set for him?

how about the i-134, do we need another original copy for my son?

You need to fill up 2sets of ds156, ds157 for both you and your son and a copy of ds156k for you. You'd only need an original, notarized copy for the I-134 for submission.

truthfully, it really cleared up my mind...

my fiance hired a lawyer for this process,but geeez..he has no idea about ds-forms, infact he's an immigration lawyer,..he was paid $3500 just for filling up the preliminary forms (g-325a, i-129f etc...) ohhh well, nothing i can do about it....but learned a lesson there..

so., i only need, 2 ds-156, 2 ds-157, 1 ds-156k, and 1 original,notarized i-134..

PWWWWWWWWW i forgot to tell you the area of delivery of the visa was in PASIG. it wouldve gotten to us two days earlier (friday 815AM was when we got the notification that the documents were out for delviery) but the delbros' persons motorcycle broke down that day so he made an effort to get it fixed and deliver it on sunday evening 930PM. we were so happy i think we just grabbed whatever money was laying out on boytoy's desk and gave it to the delbros guy as a tip. i think we gave 400 Php. hihihi
