guys im really FREAKIN' OUT!!! i check the appoitment website tonight around past 12AM phil time and there it is my interview date!!! guess what? it will be this coming dec 27 here i am thinking maybe it will be on the feb. i keep checking the website but it never appear til now and my fiance called the washington couple of days ago said we still dont have an interview date yet... now i dont know if i believe the site or im just dreaming... wow in 3 weeks??? and here i am sitting pretty!!! nice!!!

I have a feeling that the USE recently decided to add a few more interview dates in December and then they filled them with the next available petitions waiting for a date. Ronmay and RobHankins were at the top of the queue of cases without interview dates. What a fortunate break for you guys! But that's the way of immigration - so much random luck in the process. Just enjoy the good breaks when they happen.

The December interview list was pathetic, only covering 11 days of approved petitions. Looks like the USE is interrupting their extended holiday break to get some work done.

I was thinking something like that too, but a little different. My guess is that they only gave out the first 3 weeks of December appointments until they knew which staff would be working during the week between Christmas and New Years day, so they could determine how many they could handle during that week. Most places require vacation requests only 30 days in advance, so maybe the Embassy works that way too. If that's the case, then maybe they just found out last week who would be working December 26 thorugh 29. Once they knew that, they new for sure how many cases they could handle and they just took the next people in the queue, like you said. Anyway that's my theory, but then again I could be full of ####### (again).

Whatever the reason, that only means the 200677XXXX people like me have a better chance for February!

Embassy Appointment Date: Thursday, December 28, 2006 (6:30:00 AM)

I am going to have a stroke! I can't believe it. It will be done this year. I counted on February and now I have three weeks. No packet 4, no letter and no email. If I had not checked the Embassy Appointment website, I wouldn't have known it. If Ronmay hadn't checked, I wouldn't have checked. AMAZING!

im still in SHOCK! i check it right now and its still there! but in 3 weeks??? wow ur right i still dont have some freakin papers in order. guess its going to be a challenge for me! i do think we have to check this at the embassy call them if they're not playing games or something. but i hope its true just the same coz this is all what we've been waiting for right? so guess we have to prepare whatever surprises they will bring on to us!!! thanks guys!!!

Congrats to everyone. Rob, I remember what seems to be a lifetime ago worrying about IMBRA. That forever wait, now you get a hopping 3 weeks to have everything together for the interview. Congrats again. I am hoping for feb, but no complaints if is sooner for me also.

UPDATE RE AR: Just called the Manila Embassy about our case which was placed on AR only to find out

that the REAL reason my baby was placed on AR was to do a SINGLENESS (CENOMAR) check. Interview

done on 11/24 check completed on 12/4 and sitting on consul's desk, advised to call back early next

week for further update....seems like a very short AR indeed...thank God.

shimmy i have the I-134 already so does the bank statement and the ITR coz he brought it while he was here last month. what i dont have are the (packet) DS-forms, new NBI, cenomar and BC (to make it sure) his passport photo copy and i dont know what else! i guess i have to send you a PM to ask for more details??? hope thats ok... thanks for helping me out!

that's good news.hopefully only a short delay. AR for CENOMAR is one thing I worry about since my fiancee is a single mom. she has a CENOMAR, but the Embassy could always order one of their own. If happens, hope it's also a short delay.

I agree with robhankins. It would help me a lot in managing the list if we trimmed our posts. It's okay to say congrats or request for timeline update without quoting an entire post.
