Im going to be Calling them every day until they are so sick of me they will approve the Visa!

I will be very Calm but Very Persistant.

I gave them Originals for every Document that was listed!

Even original Divorce Papers!

Whats worse is......My Fiance does not think there is any problem!.... I don't know how im gonna tell her. She did ask an officer there if we now are on AR. The officer said everything is in order. She then asked why is nothing checked off for a reason to not approve on the 221G? He would not aswer but reassured Her. So She thinks all is well....

Sounds to me like they just wanted to not have another upset person crying there & just wanted to move on to the next person huh? They just kept telling Her there was "No Problem"!

She Quit Her Job before the interview. Her last day is Dec. 10th. Hello Western Union from here till whenever to pay Her bills.

Did they let her pay the Delbros fee? Maybe it is a name check?

Yes, She payed the Fee at Delbros.

Who Knows what is going on. Im Praying your right on the name check.

She did tell me that Her Birth Certificate was not perfectly clear where her name is written. But it was easilly intelligible. She had 2 copies made from 2 differnt places & both were the same quality. That is the Only thing I can think of that may be happening.

ever heard the news bout the Subic rape case? one US marine was found Guilty yesterday and the other 3 marines was aquitted. ive seen in the news earlier the ppl outside in the US embassy waiting for their interview was nervous that the consul might treat em bad bcoz of the result of the subic rape case yesterday and one of their soldier in jail nw. i hope this wont affect to all of whos waiting to get our visa.

yeah, i know but then we didn't knw wat the american consul thinking now. obviously some of em are meanie pie atleast not all of em ha. well, think positive only. m just sharing wat ive seen in the news earlier and the concern of the ppl outside in the embassy waiting fr their interview time.

I just got off the phone with ext # 5184. She said it's a preliminary backround check on the Documents my Fiance submitted. I mentioned to her about how the Birth Certificate Original was not completely clear & She said that most likely is the Problem. My Problem is that She said we now must wait 4 to 6 weeks for the review.

Oh well...It is what it is....

My heart goes out to you guys. I have a friend that I just spoke to via phone. His fiance went through the same as you guys. She had her visa in hand in 3 weeks. So maybe they are overstating by saying 4 to 6 weeks. That would be my guess.

I am reading all these depressed posts, and feeling for everyone, and what really chaps my butt is that the Immigrant Visa Unit could very easily publish a helpful tips list: I am betting that 8 out of 10 AR causes are virtually identical. The pre-screeners and consular officers see upwards of what, 200 per day (guessing here, whatever...) and they probably just glance at the attachments and mentally think "Hmm.. this one's ripe for an AR"... why not just publish the damn list?

The other thing that really steams me up is that every poor anguished soul sitting in the waiting area represents upwards of $100 revenue to the IV unit. In the case of CR1/IR1 it is $380 per backside! For What??? In my case, even though successful (I hope, not yet got the visa in hand), they had lost the medical results and the original DS230I, and kept asking us for them as if it was our responsibility to find them. I wonder what exactly the $380 is supposed to pay for? That is in addition to the $190 for the CIS to rummage around in your I130 information. And in our case, they too lost important paperwork never to be recovered. Damn, I'm getting all steamed up and we were successful!! You poor folks on AR must be just desperate! I am so sorry...

Ok need some advice here. We are estimating an interview for around the end of April or into May. Sheryl's NBI clearance is dated 8/7/06. Her Cenomar is dated 7/18/06. Is this going to be a problem? I thought we were ok if they were within 12 months of interview. But I think I saw a post by PW that said something about 6 months. Anybody have any ideas?

DeaniWait, older documents may result in AR so try to avoid that by providing them only with fresh documents, preferably 6 months old or less.

actually i saw that in the news this morning MUP (magandang umaga pilipinas). there was this reporter interviewing a girl (on k1) outside the embassy about how would she think it affect the subic case on getting a visa. of course the embassy didnt say their piece about it just that some reporters are scaring the applicants or feeding the embassy some ideas

dont worry the trial will have no effect on the outcome of any visa application. if that's what's being reported in the news, glad my fiancee told me she does'nt watch the news that much. just an example of irresponsible journalism.

there is nothing to be concerned about. the people being interviewed probably hadn't even thought about it until some jerk reporter asked such an idiotic question.
