OMG....We didn't know about a cenomar! It amazes me that I have an atorney and he has said nothing of this! Where does she get a cenomar?

If never married, a Certificate of No Marriage Record (CENOMAR) issued by the National Statistics Office (NSO) and printed on NSO security paper should be submitted. You may call the NSO Information Center at 02-737-1111 or visit the NSO webpage at https://www.ecensus.com.ph/Secure/frmIndex.asp to secure a CENOMAR (Singleness).

Maybe my second-to-last question before the interview in two-weeks. On question 31 of DS-156 we checked "yes" to a tourist-visa being refused two years ago. Unfortunately she no longer has any of the paperwork associated with this failed attempt to see her friend in Guam. Are we expected to show documention, or will they (the embassy) be able to varify this if needed?

I am feeling like the Embassy has the intent of driving us to a point of madness or frustration or just pure rage!

I called today to confirm if our visa was approved. This is not a pretty story!

First call: Your visa petition has been put under document review..please call us back in 4 to 6 WEEKS!

**PANIC SETS IN!**

Can you tell me why? NO

Can you give me better idea of how long this might take? NO

Can you let me talk to someone who can? NO

Can I speak with the consul? NO

They did not review the vast majority of our documents! I felt safe in assuming that the visa was approved! I WAS WRONG!

Second call: "PLEASE I BEG OF YOU! HELP ME TO UNDERSTAND WHAT HAS HAPPENED!"

Sir the consul approved your visa and it is now going through name checks! WHAT DOES THAT MEAN? Is that the normal procedure that they do before issuing the visa? Is she approved or not? THIS IS STANDARD SOP SIR!

It will take no more than 2 weeks.

At this time I do not know what will take no more than two weeks! I just went from on top of the world to a pit of despair and frustration, which is quickly going to complete rage. The lack of information and lack of assistance is intolerable

Can someone help me to understand the language? Is it their normal procedure to review the documents and then print the visa? I know that people have got their visa in just a few days is that still a possibility? Is document review the same as AR? The very nice lady whom I spoke to said that the consul had approved our visa would she say that if it was going to put under AR?

Thank you all for listening...I am venting because I am so frustrated. It has been too slow of a process to have it postponed for more months after letting us believe that we would be together soon!

Don't know if this is the proper place for our thrilling news, but our I-129F for K3 was approved today. No status updates until today, but did receive THREE emails today. Our CR-1 was completed at NVC last week. Waiting to see which will arrive at Manila first...

Congratulations! Each step is one closer to happiness!

Goodman...cheer up.....I am sure it's in what';s called AP (administrative processing) you will be out of there

in like 9 days.....Celebrate......you will be good to go. Call back by Friday.

Yes, I confirmed the same, the cenomar is needed for the K1 fiance. The k3 spousal needs the marriage certificate issued by NSO on their NSO paper.

every time I read something like this I have a panic attack being a week from interview ha. The wife and I are both climbing the walls, checking and rechecking paperwork.

ds156 - I have read conflicting posts regarding the completion of the address, some say to put the address you want the delbros delivered to on this form. Then you read interview post which indicate visiting the delbros window and providing a delivery address.

Question: should we go ahead and put her home address in the online ds156, generate barcode and print or put her aunt's address in Makati city where my wife will be staying after the interview to wait on visa delivery?

Question 2: Is Makati City in the province Metro Manila? Its amazing how many phils I ask what province Makati City is in and they don't know!?!?!? Of course it shouldn't surprise me since it took me all morning to find a local who knew where the phils immigration office was in Cebu city to extend my tourist visa back in June. Amazing how little people know about their own city.

thanks in advance

We are married, so I guess we don't need this. I just called my attorney on the phone and that is what he said.

a denied tourist visa has no bearing or effect on the application for a k-1 visa.

I suggest that she bring the passport with the denial as the documentary support. I am sure they have this data on record in their computers and it would be best to be honest about it.

I was denied a tourist visa some 8 years ago and then I again applied for a tourist visa after 5 years and I got an approval the second time. Just be honest and if you still have that denied stamp, then just show it when they ask for documentary evidence. Good luck on your interview...just relax and be honest.

Jenalyn always corrects me and says "Makati City" and I've also heard it is in "Metro-Manila". That's what I wrote in the I-129F, anyway.
