oh gosh for sure im feeling it! :blink: trying my best to keep calm tho, will squeeze in some salon/spa time this weekend to relax hehe :thumbs:

wat time you plan to arrive in embassy, i see we have same time to attend to, but i still have 2 weeks more to wait...

Anyway, i just wna include this info , i called embassy and asked if i need to bring my 4 yr old son in my interview, says theres no age limit, everyone in applicatio should show up :D , will be atiring day for me then :dance:

Hello everyone! I'm back and sunburnt from a week of snorkeling and island-hopping in Palawan. El Nido in Palawan is so beautiful!!! To those who want to get married in the Philippines, I strongly suggest spending time at El Nido for your honeymoon. Stay two nights at the Lagen Resort ($250++/night) then stay the rest of the week at a cheap lodging house which could be had for P600-P800 ($12-$15) a night. We stayed at a P600/night room that had a large veranda where we woke up each morning to a spectacular sunrise with a view of the limestone cliffs in the horizon and the calm bluegreen sea just a few feet away. You need at least 4 days to enjoy all that El Nido has to offer ~ white beaches, lagoons, caves, limestone cliffs, snorkelling, beautiful sunsets, cheap accommodation, cheap food, friendly people (where even a two-year old kid would say hello to you).

Okay, now down to business.

Updating the list to add packet receipt date of purpledonkey and JoseandHelen and to add timeline of Caillen. Caillen, you should have an interview date scheduled already. Have you called DOS yet as suggested here? Please provide us also with your Manila case number. Thanks.

Welcome back PW - Sounds like you had a great time! :thumbs: I'm going to make note of your travel advice for the next time we get back there. This time we're just going to do Manila/Antique/Boracay. Not a lot of traveling around...just saying goodbye to everyone, a quiet pre-wedding honeymoon, then getting things together for the trip back <praying, God-willing, hopefully, please please please> :lol:.

Good news....finally! I called DOS at 6am here in Cali and I only waiting for 5 mins. I was so excited that we have interview date I forgot to ask our medical interview so I had to call again. :D

Interview date April 11, 2006 at 6:30 am. Medical interview on April 4, 2006. They mailed the packet last Feb 13 but my fiance havent recieve anything. U guys think our packet is lost? Thanks...

nope its not really sent i found out that there not really sent till a few weeks before ( i have no idea why they say its sent earlier). you can go to st lukes and pick up the package, and you can go to the medical 1 month before your interview yove's medical is april 11th but she is goin march 20th. i suggest goin early as the medical can take a few days in some cases. yove is goin to take the CFO before the interview to so she can just get a stamp when she has her visa

ok...so how do I know that St Luke will have his packet and not somewhere betwen his house and embassy. Any suggesstion whre to call or number to call?? I would really like it that he pick up his packet instead of being delivered. Thanks so much.

HI PW, dat was a blast vacation for yah .... glad to hear u had a great time in boracay!

Tell ur fiancee to call direct line of embassy which is (632-5286300 ext. 5184 or 5185), Try calling 730AM - 830AM for dat is not their busy time since their office hours just started. NOTE: DONT EVER RING THE CALL CENTER, ive DONE DAT & COMMIT ALOT OF MISTAKES, they never had the business to process your request just to encode inquiries.

BUT........ BE SURE, whenever u call the embassy to request to forward your packet to st. lukes, make sure u gonna do the medical exams within the day u col OR the next day .... BCOS IF, you request a packet for a week schedule to pick up, more often they dont do dat at once. So u have a week to follow it up. And your fiancee never need to go to st lukes 530AM to do the medical.... more often if u go their 10 or 11AM it will be swift medical exams ull do, anyway u gonna be doing the medical for 2 days.

IF you asked embassy for example this morning and u wna pick up the packet at st. lukes by tmrow morning, possibly u cud have it but on that day before going to st. lukes BE SURE before leaving house call st lukes ( 632-5210020 or 5218647, asked to connect to window F, releasing of packet counter) TO CHECK if the packet was there already. So you coud proceed to the medical with your packet in hand. BUt dont worry you could do medical process without the packet, but less hassle you have it in your hands already for after the medical you could start collecting the documents u needed for the interview. NOTE: BE SURE your fiancee doesnt have her menstration or if she had, she cant take medical and wait for 1 week after it ends, then she was allowed to do medical processing.

LASTLY........ dont forget to send ur fiancee the copy of NVC letter or the confirmation letter you had been given the MANILA CASE #. thats the letter she needs to show before entering st. lukes bcos she doesnt have the copy of appointment letter.

"ok...so how do I know that St Luke will have his packet and not somewhere betwen his house and embassy. Any suggesstion whre to call or number to call?? I would really like it that he pick up his packet instead of being delivered. Thanks so much."

I picked up my packet from St.Luke's. This is what I did. I called up Manila Embassy (02)5286300 and requested that another packet be sent to St.Luke's on the date i requested. Then the day before i was suppose to pick it up, I called them again to confirm that they had forwarded it to St. Luke's. They confirmed that it was there and everything else went smoothly.

Btw, to make the most of the trip to St.Luke's, your fiance could also have the medical exam accomplished that day.Even if its not yet the medical sched, they will acomodate you.It wont be an issue. I did that too and got my medical done 2 weeks earlier. Now its not so stressf8ull as all i have to focus on will be the interview.

My packet arrived at my house 3 days after i picked up another one at St.Luke's :wacko: Now i have an extra packet. :lol:

Updated to add interview date of Caillen. Seems like Rommelandrea is the only couple without an interview date. Try calling DOS around March 27. I'm sure they'd have an interview scheduled for you at that time.

Thanks, PW! I'm hoping this year we're not sitting right at the edge of a weather front so we can watch a decent sunset. :P

Well, we're at less than two weeks, and ya know, it's getting pretty hard to concentrate on anything else. LOL I gave Lye a pop quiz when I talked to her this weekend and she did great! So, I'm thinking she'll do just fine. Now, if only the interviewers are in a good mood next Friday... :whistle:
