My Baby is done with the vaccination... Tomorrow she is headed for PRISM to participate in the Guidance and Counseling Session. It's been a busy week for her, and now we are one more step closer to the big dance. Cheers!!!

When my girl called CFO office to inquire about the seminar, a lady told her that she would have to go all the way to Quezon City to attend the seminar. But according to the web page, it says that PRISM also offers the seminar in Malate at the same times Mon-Fri. Is that correct, and the CFO secretary is dumber then a stump? Also, does anyone know if they require the passport as a peace of ID for the CFO seminar? Because after the medical, the passport will be in transit to the embassy.

I went to www.delbros.com and track the shipment from there, tracking # is listed on the receipt provided to Angelmae when she paid for the delivery, usually your case # would be your tracking #...but have her double check it just to make sure...mine looked like this:

hi! It was very painless. In fact it was faster than going through our own immigration. LOL They don't ask you to go to a cubicle or office that I read from other posts about their POE.

You just pass through a booth (like a teller's) and you will get your picture and finger print taken there. Oh, and if the immigration personnel forgets to get you sealed envelope, be sure to give it to him. That's what happened to me. He didn't ask for my sealed envelope and when I got through, I was wondering why he didn't get it from me. My fiance thought that it was OK but I insisted that it's supposed to be taken from me so we went back and gave it to him. The immigration guy was a little sheepish that he forgot. LOL

You can get the seminar at PRISM, that's just in front of De La Salle Univeristy along Taft Ave. That's where I got mine.

And yes, she will need her passport so she might want to get the seminar out of the way before she goes for her medical. She can get the sticker after she gets her visa and passport back from the embassy. All she needs to show for that is the certificate of attendance from PRISM and her passport.

Total brain lapse here, I forget because of all the time that has passed since the IMBRA fiasco, do I need to send any passport photos of myself to my fiance for her interview outside of the one attached to the replica of the I-129F I made of the one I sent to the USCIS originally?

I am going to be sending everything today. I just want to make sure I have everything right.

The secretary is dumb and stupid, BUT I might be dumber (I'll explain later...) LOL! My baby is going to PRISM tomorrow. We do have one problem... LOL! She just took the medical exam so her passport is on it's way to the embassy, but we do have some very impressive copies of her passport (LOL), SSS ID, and other ID's. Wish us luck because I drop the ball on that... I guess it's sometimes better to be lucky than smart. So I'll be able to report if that was a problem by late this evening.

NO! The petitioner is not required to supply any passport photos for the beneficiary's visa interview.

What time is she going? Maybe my girl will see your girl and they can do some bonding over the frustrations of the immigration progress. Good luck on the passport situation, but I doubt it will be a problem what with all the other ID's you have to show.

I agree, it is VERY frustrating this process. It is difficult enough, but then you throw government officals (both ours and theirs) into the mix who don't even know the proper procedures. (just wait until you try to get her a SS# in the states).

Thanks! She will arrive around 7am (Thu, Nov 9th). So there will be a long wait because the G&CS doesn't start until 10am but seating is limited per session. Funny that you mentioned the SSN because I have already printed out the regulations and highlighted the appropriate sections due to the problems that I've read from others members. The information is within the VJ guide section. I'll look up specifically where later. So, I'm prepared to fight if needs be, but it's a hit or miss whether any of us will have problems. Ignorance is bliss... LOL!!!

Funny that you mentioned the SSN because I have already printed out the regulations and highlighted the appropriate sections due to the problems that I've read from others members.

The reason I mentioned the SS# is my buddy who has just brought his fiancee over and recently married her is having a nightmare of a time. Seems like the workers at the local office don't understand the law, and tell him requirments that are just not present.

Anyway, I hope this is the last stupid qustion about CFO seminar, but on the web site, it says one of the requirments is a: "Duly completed guidance and counseling form". Is this something completed while at the interview, or must it be completed beforehand?

The beneficiary can obtain and "duly" complete the form upon arrival. That's not a problem... The forms are available on the CFO website but I'm torn between two forms so we completed them both. LOL! They are probably both incorrect or obsolete forms. LOL!
