hi Wind glad to hear your case is moving now....but mine still have no updates..i will call them

next week for follow up. goodluck..

Hello Annie

If you dont mind my asking.....what documents were you lacking? Just so others will not make

the same mistake

Hi Jamrok i was put on AR because of my fiance's court case in florida. the consul wants to make sure

my fiance's public charge is not an issue for him to support me in the US. and another thing is that my fiance was married three times already but i only have his latest divorce decree during my interview so the consul told me to submit all 3 of his divorce decree/s. it took a month before my fiance got the papers so i was just able to submit them last week on a wednesday. the guy told me to call them for a follow up after 2 weeks..oh my...im getting paranoid waiting..well today embassy is close for a holiday..im thinking to fax them a letter for a follow up tomorrow..and call them next week every other day :P

Why was Uling's Post NOA2 thread moved from the Embassy Forum?

That's what happens when you smoke crack and monitor forums. I'm campaigning for a drug free moderating team.. LOL!!!

Not meaning to be negative, but due to your own admitted uncertainty because our "fate" lies in the subjective and often retarded judgment of a CO, why did you decide to go ahead a book a flight for your girl before her visa is in hand? While I too am confident that our paperwork is perfect, I cannot bring myself to pre-purchase the "freedom ride." I suppose that I'm so used to being passed-over by the "system" or being lost in the shuffle of life that I don't want to tempt fate. Also, I am being very careful about getting our hopes up for the Dec. 5 interview. While it "should" be fine, if I tell her it is a slam-dunk, an AR would just crush her (and me).

Why don't you just kick me in ang mga bayag ko!!! It would hurt less than you busting my bubble… LOL!!! I'm just joking. I purchased the ticket because the flight was cheap, I was afraid the price would skyrocket, it's refundable, and the re-booking fee is a marginal cost. Life is full of risks and uncertainties and sometimes we step out on a wing and a prayer hoping to land softly if we fall (or at least minimize the risks if we do). I walk by faith that my desires will be met and surpassed with his grace and mercy. Please forgive my bad humor in the first two lines... I'm not perfect. LOL!!!

Thanks for the info. I tried to use DHL but oddly enough when I went to the local DHL center they said their store only ships domestic packages and that I should go to UPS store down the street. I paid an arm and a leg and was told it was going to arrive on Nov.1st but now the tracking indicates Nov. 6th presumably because of the holiday.

Sorry, didn't mean to burst your bubble, just wondering if maybe you had some "inside" info that prompted such positive thoughts. I'm glad you still have faith that is so strong. If success was up to God only, then I would still have it too, but when my fate is left up to the devices of mere mortals, I tend to see the glass half-empty. In regards to your ticket, what agency or web-site did you book through? I thought all "refundable" tickets were extremely expensive.

I purchased the ticket directly from the Philippine Airlines... and cut out the middleperson. However the prices are still virtually the same as when I purchased her's in Sept. I'm with you on the mere mortals thing and it's a very intimidating situation we are all trapped in, which is why I'm betting that YYB is going to passout. LOL!!! I'm going to step out there and proclaim that we will all be approved. There I wrote... November is the official Visa Pick-up Approval Month so get your dancing shoes. Cheers!!!

K3_IR - Thanks for being the honest broker and overseeing the outcome of the bets. LOL!!!

hahaha crazy peeps. hey arent humans considered as the highest form of ** sapiens which also belongs to the animal kingdom? its weird, now im imagining k3 trying to resucitate a horse. dont ask me why... hahaha thats the first thing that came to my mind.

hahahah any more bets? im sure keith88gt will be there to witness as well.

K3_IR, not going to st lukes... but going to the interview. the fiance (my boytoy) will be at st. lukes. hahahah boytoy...

hey i did the same. cut out the middle person, called cathay pacific and asked about rebooking fee. although i used my miles, they said they wont be charging me for changing flight bookings. PICK UP PICK UP... acckkk

hey i heard some people stood in line at the embassy at 230AM... although they separated the lines per batches. like if you were in a certain time frame then you go to a certain line. 230 AM? i think it's insane to do that but has anyone considrered doing the same? what time should we stand in line? our interview is at 7 AM was thinking to go there 5AM at the earliest or would that be too late?

You don't need to get there too early. They will let people in based on appt. time. All 7:00 appts. will be allowed in before the 7:30 appts. Here's the key .... when you first go into the large waiting area you will walk past a small table/chair near the entrance. Sit/stand close to this table. Soon after all the 7:00 appts. have been allowed to enter, someone will show up at that table and ask for all the 7:00 appt people to line up at the table with their paperwork. After they screen your paperwork for correctness at that desk, they take the screened paperwork, in small batches, to be assigned a sequence number. You will be called to window X in approximately the order you lined up at the small table. This number is your sequence number for the rest of the day and they order interviews according to that number. So, even if you are the last 7:00 appt. to arrive in the assembly area outside the security checkpoint, you could be the first at the small table and have one of the earliest sequence numbers.
