Does anyone know about methods of payment for St. Lukes Medical, do they accept credit card or is it cash only? And I'm assuming that since the visa fee is paid at the BPI bank, it can be paid by credit card or cash?

hi PW is right you have to pay in PHP. sigh one piece of advice, maybe try to find another place to exchange your dollars... banks usually buy the dollars at a way lower rate than other places. my fiance took $100 to BPI, they converted his dollars to pesos.. then he goes to the window for the visa fee and gave what he received from the prior window. the lady said it wasnt enough so he had to add more ... i guess theyre just trying to make business.

I just send cash through Remithome.com directly into her Phil. bank account. She will be able to withdraw the money from any ATM and pay in PHP. Only reason I asked about the credit card is that it is a cheaper transaction fee for me to send money that way.

Hi PW! Pls update our timeline. I just called USE in Manila and they said our case arrived last October 23 '06. Thanks alot! :)

Thank God I finally was able to talk to a live person and not the automated operator! They wanted me to call the call center (which is very expensive!) so every time they hang me up, Id call them back. haha and I think the girl got irritated and entertained my call. but she told me to call the call center next time.. lol

Madison Man, how did you get a "very old case number"? When did you file your I-129F and were you affected by IMBRA?

BJ, Not sure if your bank will allow it, but I acquired an ATM card for my Fiancee from my bank. I tis much like a Teen Pre-paid card where I decide how much is on the card and add money when I want or need to. My fiancee just goes to the ATM when she needs money and there are no transfer fees because the card is in my bank and it is an internal bank transfer which I do online. Much less pain and no fees. Depending n what state and city you are in, if there is a BPI near you, that works too. Good luck, Payato

When you go in for the interview I know that Luz has to have proof of her annullment. She has the NCO marriage contract with the annotations. Will she need to bring anything else? What do they usually ask for?

I submitted CERTIFIED TRUE COPIES of following to prove annulment:

1) Decision

2) Certificate of Finality

3) Certifificate of Registration

4) Original annotated marriage contract issued by NSO

Guys, the embassy will be closed on October 24 as the Philippine govt. has declared it a holiday in observance of Ramadan. So save your $$$ and don't call the embassy next Tuesday.

Actually I've a VisaBuxx account set-up for my fiancee which is much like a teen pre-paid card. But the rub on this account is that only $100 per week can be withdrawn at ATMs. For times when she needs "bigger" chunks of cash, I'm forced to take another approach.

I believe this is your first post in our thread. Members usually request to be included in the list or if you make a post, I would ask for your permission first. You're in the list now.

Manila Embassy is the second busiest embassy in the world next only to Mexico. The embassy receives thousands of visa applications each day and they can only process a few hundreds a day so you can just imagine the backlog that this creates. Last year, the waiting time was 7 months as they prioritized the visas for the nurses. It's better now at 3-4 months.

Gobdogman, we don't include "NVC received" date in the list but let me know as soon as Manila Embassy receives your physical file.

BJ, Not sure if your bank will allow it, but I acquired an ATM card for my Fiancee from my bank. I tis much like a Teen Pre-paid card where I decide how much is on the card and add money when I want or need to. My fiancee just goes to the ATM when she needs money and there are no transfer fees because the card is in my bank and it is an internal bank transfer which I do online. Much less pain and no fees. Depending n what state and city you are in, if there is a BPI near you, that works too. Good luck, Payato

Actually I've a VisaBuxx account set-up for my fiancee which is much like a teen pre-paid card. But the rub on this account is that only $100 per week can be withdrawn at ATMs. For times when she needs "bigger" chunks of cash, I'm forced to take another approach.

Dont know if this helps but just spoke with my honee, he got letter fr US embassy in manila, letter stated that it will be approx 120 days from recieving packet (10/13/06 ) till interview date. It also stated that they will contact him with interview date .........just wanted to give you and update...Jelloshotgirl
