Yeah, I can't even get through to find out if my Petion is physically there or not. :unsure:

Try call right at 7:30 AM Manila time, or even a few minutes before, when they first open the office. Thats when I was finally able to get thru to someone.

Well I guess the pink-and-white approved sticker was nothing to worry about after all, Delbros delivered Gizelle's visa to her on Sunday in San Pedro, Laguna. (10 days) Just one more step to go!!! November 4 cant possibly come fast enough, hahaha!

hi folks!

and so im back from my call yesterday and as expected i failed. lol... i called around 7:25-7:35 on my watch and the operator said the embassy is still closed... i called around 7:40 and then its starting to get busy until luckily a guy answered the phone and i asked if i could inquire for our K1 visa status and suddenly he said WRONG NUMBER! +63-2-5286300! wrong number for whom??? :angry: we're just so very concerned/ worried that our file might be lost :crying:... my fiance called them now but again busy... so now we've got another question, if we cant call them, why not go personally and ask? but would that be possible if we'll just go to the embassy and ask for our case status? anyone tried that??? nvc sent our case last sept. 18 and i should've gotten a notice (that they have our case) by now right? thanks and we'll keep you posted

Ronmay,

US Embassy won't allow entry if one can't show an appointment (especially if one is a Filipino). Stubborn US citizens without appointment can get in by making up an excuse why they should be there.

You may also want to call the Dept of State (DOS) to get info. They should be able to tell you if your case file has been received at the embassy. Call (202) 663-1225 then press 100 to skip the recording and you wait anywhere from 5-30 minutes to get a Visa Specialist.

Yes we do have a similar timeline, its driving me crazy that everytime i call the embassy all they can say is wait for 180 days!!! they cant even tell when will december appointments probably be given out, well lets just hope we belong in that set of appointments, cuz if not i will kill our neighbor, lol...oh my im really getting crazy waiting...i wish i can just sleep and just let someone wake me up when the interview date is there already. To thos who will have their interview soon GOOD LUCK!!! and for those who still wait!!! Keep the faith!

US Embassy won't allow entry if one can't show an appointment (especially if one is a Filipino). Stubborn US citizens without appointment can get in by making up an excuse why they should be there.

You may also want to call the Dept of State (DOS) to get info. They should be able to tell you if your case file has been received at the embassy. Call (202) 663-1225 then press 100 to skip the recording and you wait anywhere from 5-30 minutes to get a Visa Specialist.

What's odd is that if you are Filipino with an accent calling the US Embassy, whether you are the USC or not, it's like talking to a brick wall! On the other hand, they give me the royal treatment when I call... LOL! They don't know that I'm a Negoy or I would have problems too. LOL!!! I'm still laughing over the aged-out thing. LOL!

yeah i totally fall under Ulings statistic.... i for one am an attestment to what's her faces mean treatment. i called twice using my american english accent and got informatin just fine. she ws very accomodating. just when i felt comfy, calling in the third time, i thought hey maybe shes going to be nice to me since i speak filipino too. NOT... then again i dont know if it was the trying to get by with reaching out to a fellow filipino that ticked her off or she was on her period that day...

hehehhe.... just sharing...

The number is in Uling's signature. That number, however, is exclusive to USCs who speak with the American twang, di ba Yna and Uling?

I figured that out when I called them. Although I am Filipina, I learned to speak with an American accent having worked with Americans in an American company before. So here I was asking for info and the lady was entertaining me then maybe she heard from the background my officemates talking in Tagalog and she asked "where are you calling from?" so I said, Manila then there was a sudden change of attitude and she asked me to call the Embassy call center instead. I could only shake my head :no::no::no:

Uling, I'm sure you'd get the brick wall treatment if you try to talk to them in Tagalog LOL :lol: But honestly, they would find it cute if you attempt to communicate in our language but make sure you speak Tagalog with the sexy American twang like "kow-mows-tah kah? (kumusta ka?).
