Hello from Titakey,

Leonardo and I still don't know anything.

He got additional paperwork from NBI as requested, but when he picked it up it had the wrong date for his birthday. So had to return on Monday. Picked up the corrected copy on Tuesday and took everthing back to the Embassy later the same day. BUT they didn't tell him anything - passed, not passed - nothing! So now just waiting on Delbros to return his passport hopefully with a visa. Could be anytime from 10-03 to 10-06. But with the storm there could be an additional delay.

Pray for positive outcome!

Ohhh.. sorry to hear that Sillygirl. I know the feeling of prolonging agony but everything will turn out fine. Now, time to spend some quality time with your fiance and get your butt outta here .

The suspense just never ends! I am getting paranoid because of all the delays... thinking that I will not get approved and that I am destined to be in a long distance relationship forever.

My fiance decided to stay and wait for my interview date so he is trying to tie up some lose ends here. Got lots of things to do... change his flight, contact the car rental company, call his boss, and so on... I don't think his boss will be too happy with him for the additional two weeks that he has to take off from work. He's already missed so many work days this year because of all his visits.

Hopefully, there will be no more delays from here on in. I don't think my stomach can handle the additional stress. LOL

Sillygirl - Sorry to know about your delay... The typhoon was pretty bad. My fiancée is not expected to have electricity until Monday. The Phil was hit pretty hard this time around.

Of all the things that we anticipated going wrong, the embassy being shut down because of a typhoon was not one of them!

Thats bad luck about the typhoon. I am keeping my fingers crossed that when my fiancee has her interview on November 6th nothing like this gets in the way. I am having my fiancee Angelmae and her parents travel to manila together from the provinces and was wondering if anyone recommends a particular hotel for them to stay in that is convenient and safe for the visa process (preferably under $50 USD a night). Thanks for all your help on this site. Often I like to just peruse this manila embassy threat because it reminds me that Angelmae and I are not alone in our wait to be together.

you want to have the info as current as possible. what i heard recommended is the benenficary have the I-134 one month before the interview. i've already sent my fiance a copy of the i-129f petition so she can be familar with what's in it.

You may submit a copy but I suggest having the original on hand to be on the safe side. Cheers!!!

i think it's a good idea for her to have original , certified copy in case the CO asks to see it. that way no AR having to send it to her later. perhaps someone who has had interview can answer if CO has requested it.

How and where do we track the interview dates?

NVC can only tell you the date when they forwarded it to Manila. NVC forwards the file two ways, one via electronic transfer and one via “physical transfer”. Update your address when they receive the electronic file and again when they receive the physical file (for good measure).

Item (4) of Uling’s signature has the link to check for interview dates. You may start tracking for interview a month after the embassy receives the physical file.

Embassy prefers documents to be less than 6 months old. The I-134, W2 and employment letter that I presented to the embassy were 3 months old when I appeared for interview.

Check out Uling's signature (Item 2 - Packet 4). If you prefer to pre-fill the forms for your fiancee, you may download the forms from the link that Uling provided.

Gee Uling, your signature is very valuable and very convenient! You may also want to include info re cheap hotels near US Embassy and St. Luke’s. Do you want to start with Southern Cross Hotel which was recommended by Jazzy and then we can build it up from there based on people's experiences.
