Manila Embassy Interview

I just wna know if when you gonna bring the "required documents" for the packet, is it on the first day "or" 2nd day of medical exams??? since whole day will take for the 1st day, and 2nd day will be ur last meet with the st. lukes for them to pass ur requirements to the embassy before the interview date.

We don't need to bring the requirements to St. Luke's. Just bring money, passport, pen and 3 2x2 pictures. (And for those who have their packets, bring a photocopy of your appointment letter).

You can call the State Dept and ask. There number is 202 663 1225 press 1 then 0 then 0.

my yoves K1 is medical is april 11th and interview is april 18th i was able to get this info on valentines day so it was the best valentines day present she could get . the only downside is im expecting an AR because we had to get her Birth certificate corrected so im told that has a great chance to flag a AR (admin review)

Hi PW, thanks for the reply. i dont understand why im not allowed to see my own medical records, im really curious as to what the doctors wrote about me since i submitted additional documents during the 2nd day. ah well, nothing i can do about it now. im thinking if they found out you have a dread disease, wouldnt they tell you right away so you can seek treatment and not have you wait for your interview to get the bad news?

I never saw my medical result. It was sent straight to the Embassy by St. Lukes together with my passport. The medical result was never discussed during my interview. I think that it would only come up at the interview if there is an "adverse finding" (TB, AIDS, HIV-positive) as this could be a ground for visa denial. I don't think that the consul is in a position to discuss medical results as he is not qualified to do that and would probably refuse to divulge any info.

St. Luke's phone numbers: 521-0020; 521-8647.

Patience is needed when calling St. Luke's. It may take you more than an hour to get someone.

My packet was sent the 26th of jan. she never got it... I gave up on it... I called the embassy and had it 'supposedly' sent to st. lukes so we don't ahve to deal with it.

seems like manila is getting a little quicker. from what people have been posting, looks like it has gone down from a 6 month wait to 5 months.

Updated to add Charsiimogen's interview date. Only 3 in our list without interview date. I've e-mailed them that it's time to ring the DOS.

You're right ryecatcher, Manila is now down from 6 months to five months and look at TomandJackie, only four months from Embassy receipt to interview date. Well, Jazzy, if you're still reading, that's good news. By the time you re-file K1, maybe it'll just take 4 months from filing to interview. Fingers crossed.
