Wow this thread has really picked up activity lately. Just wanted to add that my finacee just finished her interview and she was approved!

I'll post again when she gets the visa in hand. It better be before the 30th, as we already have the plane tickets

I am really looking forward to that dates!!! Praying real hard for that so that we could be there by early December!!! I am praying that they would also post the December interviews soon so that we could have at least have a BIG relief on the interview date. Just to know when is a big thing for us!!!! hehehehe!!!

Dave,

Manila K1s do not receive Packet 3. The visa specialist may have been clueless as she is not familiar with the process being done at the embassies all over the world. I think it's only in the Philippines that we don't receive Packet 3. All other countries do. The practice of sending separate packets for Manila was discontinued several years ago.

Manila K1s do not send DS-230 to get an appointment date. Don't worry, she will get that appointment in due time.

As to the incomplete address, yes, send an email to the embassy to make the correction. But I'm sure they're resourceful enough to look for the complete address in her case folder.

If you are worried about the packet not being delivered, you may call the embassy to request for your fiancee's packet to be sent to St. Lukes Hospital for pick-up or you may download the packet from the embassy website. The packet is not such a big deal as there are other means to get it as stated above.

PW, thanks very much for clearing that up. I thought that was the case, but with no interview date for us yet, I was worried that I may have completely missed something.

So Janice went to the medical, no problems... she even peaked at the notes before they were sealed... and both she and our daughter were marked as cleared medically. This was 09-05 and 09-06.

Then the interview went very well..... no problems, no concerns, and the interviewer was smiling, laughing, joking, and had no concerns or unanswered questions. He even talked with our daughter, who is 5. He ended the interview by giving my fiance a pink slip to pay for the courier and said to expect a package in 1 to 3 days (she lives in Valenzuela).

It is now 10 days later. We have heard nothing, Delbros has not gotten any package from the embassy, and when Janice called the embassy to check on the status yesterday, she was told the case had not been reviewed yet and that it may not be ready for a long time.

Does anyone have any insight or thoughts or words of wisdom? They are not saying it is in any status.... and I know we had no issues with any requirements... plus we submitted about 100 pages of evidence to support the petition.

they did not say you are on AR? sometimes AR can mean further verification on the Philippine national. i think i read somewhere here that another couple had this too...since she had a kid...or they had some issue with the BC or CENOMAR. i'm not sure but i read it in pinoyinfo.net forum.

PW, we tracked it through DELBROS and as of yesterday it says it was out for delivery. we'll keep you posted. he hasn't done his CFO seminar so it would be great if the visa arrives thursday. we haven't even made travel plans at all...pending the visa.

hi all. we just got an email from the nvc that they recently send our case to the embassy. i know there are peeps who's still waiting before us but is it safe for me to say i'll get a late dec. interview or early jan? and i dont know how it goes when they have our case already, would they send me (the beneficiary) a postal mail that they got our case? thanks. just confuse

hi guys maybe someone can help me. i guess at this point im kinda lost and would like to know peoples experiences with regards to having their children follow later on in the future (not as a derivatory status).

in filling out one of the forms, i cant remember which i think it is DS156K, there is a question there asking to name the children of the fiance. the following questions are "accompanying you?" (which i answered no to since there are still things that we have to fix with regards to childs b/c) then there is that question which asks whether the "child to follow"...

my question is, well we are planning to have the child follow here if he wills it that way but right now, we have decided to wait a couple of years. What will be my answer to the question that asks "to follow?"

I hope someone can help me... thanks guys, you have always been of great help to us...
