Hi Luz,

vaccination is covered by medical fee u gonna pay at St. Lukes, about the vaccination shots - if u have no records of yours and your son long time ago. It's ok, you and your son gonna have a vaccination interview in time of your medical, 1st they will ask if you already experienced having chicken pox and you need to show a scar of it, so it gonna be waived. If not been yet, they will give u that shot, more often doctors knows what u gonna take or not bcos shots where in terms of age limitation. I never showed any vaccine record of myself , so they gave me MMR shot only, they will instructed you which one u need to get here in US. Same as to your son, if his minor or not, they will check upon waiver of age limit of the shots. All shots that been given and you need to take again in specific coming months or by the time your here in US, will reflect to the vaccination report or DS-2053 form, and they will give it to you along your xray film, you gonna keep it and bring it in US, this you will need for your AOS application after you got married here.

Gudluck!

I have a question about the forms in packet 3. Does it ask if you have ever been denied a visa before? If you tried for a tourist visa before and were denied do you have to put it down?

Yes, the DS forms will ask if you have been denied a visa before and you have to tell them the truth. A previous tourist visa denial has no effect on your current K1 application so don't worry about it.

If someone would be so extra specially kind as to scan a full Packet 4 for Manila Embassy and convert it to .pdf with link here, it would be so wonderful for the rest of us. I understand there is no packet 3 for Manila K1?

Rob, go to this link http://usembassy.state.gov/posts/rp1/wwwh3023.html and scroll down to the bottom of the page. There you will see the updated Appointment Packet for K1. There is no Packet 3 for Manila K1s.

The $95 medical fee includes the cost of vaccination. The doctor will determine what shots you and your son would be needing based on the medical history interview that will be conducted.

“Sillygirl” posted the medical process in one of her posts (page 93). Check it out. There’s plenty of helpful info there.

Luz, if that is your son in picture with you, yes, he has to come with you during your embassy interview.

Hey friends, don’t confuse me with another VJ member, a girl from Mexico, whose screen name is “Patienly Waiting”. That’s not me, PatientlyWaiting of Manila. So now we have a PW-Manila and a PW-Mexico. Nabiktima si Luz hehehe.

She got her NOA2 already whereas me, I’m still as usual, patiently waiting.

You don't! Visa interview dates are assigned to beneficiaries of K1 petitions, and the current wait time is approximately 120 - 150 days from the receipt of your package by the USE from NVC. Mabuhay!
