Long story short my Fiancee never got the packet. Here the situation......I called and they said you could take the medical 2 weeks before the Embassy interview but i told her My fiancee was in Bohol and that 2 weeks would be kinda hard. She said we could have the medical on the 20th of Feb. and that you don't need a appointment to go. First come first serve. She said that was plenty of time and they would have the packet there the 20th. How long will it take for them to give the results to the Embassy? Hehe thinking maybe I should call them back and get it sooner?? :help::help::unsure:

Hi windchaser, if ur fiancee will go feb 20th for medical exams, then surely we will cross paths. But patientlywaiting is right, you need to have days allowance for it was Feb. 27 her interview date. I was been instructed by embassy when i called them dat i shud wait for my packets atleast 2 weeks before interview, but i clearly explained to them, that my periods cycle that will arrive on that timeline. and most of the time im sickly in bed before and after my periods... so was granted for early medical on Feb 20, tho my interview is still on march.

goodluck!!

You don't have to pay the visa fee before the medical. Just make sure you pay it and have the fee receipt stamp before the interview.

My fiancee could have taken it a week before the Interview, it would have been ok according to the lady at the Embassy. She would have gone 2 weeks ahead of the Interview tho. Ours is Postponed, she isn't going to the Medical then sorry. :crying: Funny thing is the packet was sent on Dec. 22nd and this Monday her sister got it while my fiancee was at her hometown doing BC stuff. SO at least one good thing came from that.....we have the packet now :P You can also bring a copy of the NOA2 and the NVC letter instead and they should give you the Medical.

You have to pay the Fee for the interview at a BPI bank or Citibank. The form is suppose to be DS-156 that gets stamp but PW would know more about that then I. I don't think it matters when as long as it is before the Interview.

exams more early than interview, usually they scheduled it a week or 2 before interview. Becoz they say it

Updated to add interview date of Malambing.

Thanks JnLMN for the words of hope.

To Rebel, the medical fee is paid on the day of your medical at St. Lukes. The staff there will tell you to go to the Cashier's Office. The visa fee can be paid anytime before your interview. BPI will record your payment in the DS 157 form and they will provide the forms.

Hi PW,

You sound like you know what to do about the situation you found yourself in so im sure everything will work out for you...I hope it'll be sooner, not later tho ;) Good luck and God bless!

To all,

Just a tip for the medical...if you have ever been hospitalized in your entire lifetime, bring your medical records with you on the first day. I spent almost all day at the clinic yesterday waiting for a doctor to examine my mri report etc from when i spent a day in the hospital in 2004...and in my opinion, it's always better to have the medical done early even if it's usually scheduled around a week before the interview. I'm done with mine and i feel good knowing it's one less thing to think about.

Goodluck to all of us!

oh btw PW (or anyone done with their interview), did you get to see your medical results during the interview? i was told it cant be discussed at the clinic due to confidentiality, and that i can find out the details on the day of the interview...how true is that?

thanks much!

HELLO EVERYBODY!

Ive already done my interview last feb.9,and

it was so bad coz they put me in AR because my NSO birth certificate

is blurd and the consul only saw the date of preparation of the certificate

was NOV.1979,

He questioned me why it is 1979 since i was born March 1980, Because

the NSO BC is not clear he didnt saw the date of registration MAY 1980.

He ask additional documents 1.Local Civil registrar BC 2. grade school records

3. old ID's.

I didnt expect that the reason for my delay is my birth certificate since I didnt have

a problem with it in the past.I was so depressed for how many days after my interview.

Last Feb.14 i went there and pass the additional documents and my fiance called up DOS today

and the lady was so nice and she said that it was in the consular office already FEB.15(phil.time)

I hope they can review it soon and contack me if they still need more documents.

I hope everything will be ok,not only for me but also to those who were in AR club.

Hi rebel, i took my medical a month before my interview date. I asked St. Luke's before i did that and they said that it's ok. :) anyways, goodluck on your interview. :D

Jeeleebee,

I never saw my medical result. It was sent straight to the Embassy by St. Lukes together with my passport. The medical result was never discussed during my interview. I think that it would only come up at the interview if there is an "adverse finding" (TB, AIDS, HIV-positive) as this could be a ground for visa denial. I don't think that the consul is in a position to discuss medical results as he is not qualified to do that and would probably refuse to divulge any info.

Sorry to hear about your AR tcav05.

To friends who are about to go to their interview, please double check your documents. Sometimes, you could be put on AR due to an error in birth and marriage certificates.

Hi feelinblue, thanks for the info's..... but another question pls? since some people encountered documents entry problems. I just wna know if when you gonna bring the "required documents" for the packet, is it on the first day "or" 2nd day of medical exams??? since whole day will take for the 1st day, and 2nd day will be ur last meet with the st. lukes for them to pass ur requirements to the embassy before the interview date.

PW, thanks for the message, when i read that, i promtly check all my original docs and even i dont seen one, maybe i cud asked another clearer copy after my medical and bring it on the day of interview if they asked me for one again.

thanks VJ thread!
