Is their a phone number and someone that i can call and talk to there to find out for sure what is its status?

People describe the APPROVED thingy as a "sticker with APPROVED", or "note with APPROVED" or "green and white sticker with APPROVED", etc. Maybe they use different stuff at the embassy. Your sweetie, saw APPROVED so I believe she is! Yehey!

I just called that high dollar phone number from the USA 1-888-877-9888 to see what is the status. They tell me that it is in processing and that 3 things could happen.

1. It gets approved

2. It gets put on Admin Review

3. Or it gets denied

Therefore, even if the consular says it is approved, that doesnt mean squatt!

I think that this system sucks! (Is it ok if i vent for a minute?)

After waiting for God knows how long, paying 10's of thousands of dollars for lawyer fees, flights, etc.... You still have to wait for those idiots to get their A$$'$ in gear to check over your paper work one last time!

Hershey, it's only been a day since her interview. It's not time to hit the panic button yet. You're almost in the finish line. In 4-5 days when she receives the visa, you will laugh at yourself for stressing out needlessly. Relax and be patient for a few more days.

Correcting zethris' timeline. Sept. 20 should be "Manila Received" instead of "Packet Date". Yay, what took NVC so looooong to forward the case to Manila? No wonder zethris was upset.

Hey, I just noticed an error in the K1 Packet. LOL! Number 1 (Proof of Payment) states, "The bank will validate your payment on the DS-156 Nonimmigrant Visa Application Form..." However, we all know that is not true. The bank validates DS-157 Supplemental Nonimmigrant Visa Application. LOL! Cheers!!! - Sheriff Uling

thought i should give you all a very important heads up [/b] MAKE SURE YOU PHOTO COPY EVERYTHING

WHEN YOU COME INTO THE COUNTRY CUSTOMS TAKES ALL YOUR PAPERWORK and then immigration never gets them so you have to redo all the forms again. and dont throw away anything that letter they send to the petitioner the 129 approval letter is needed for the final AOS meeting.

when dealing with the US government remember 3 rules

1. if it sounds to dumb to believe it is

2. make enough photo copies that a small forest is cut down so that the paperwork will be filed away an never read

3. keep your senators phone no# on speed dial for all the bull they will put you through.

we have been able to get yoves EAD through with no problem with help from the senators office but the AOS is a whole new ball game

expect me to kick some dirt on home plate and scream at the umpire

My fiancee still hasnt recieved her packet 4 and she has a med for Nov 6th and Int for Nov.13th..how long does it take them to send her, her packet?..she lives in Cebu about a 3 hr bus ride from the city in a small province town called Ginatilan..when do you think she should get the packet?..and if she dosnt when when should we inqire about her not recieving it..its getting close to 1 month before Med..any advice or opinions will be appricated.

Irish can have her medical even without the packet. She just needs to know her Manila case number. You may also want to call the embassy or St. Luke's and tell them that Irish will pick up her packet on Nov. 6.

She may want to download the contents of the packet from Uling's signature.

ditto...wondering where the approved case is...still at uscis or unopened at nvc...or where in between...john sent an email yesterday at NVC...I also sent one this morning...

we got an email response from NVC today, thanks God!...email date is Tue, 26 Sep 2006 20:14:28 -0400...our case has been forwarded to the US Embassy in Manila..
