They should call it the K1 lottery! All we can do is pray for fast approvals. It seems that VSC is speeding up after a bulk transfer of petitions to CSC.

What does that mean for me? Not a darn thing

I'm completely agree whit you!!! ...but this mean that CSC is gonna be more slow, even more? thats fantastic, i hate all about USCIS.

You all have a good point but I will say if the guy in line 46 is screwed up kick him out to a problem line and go to the next person.

I have been through k1 before plum through to citizenship

But all of you are missing the real point

Do all of you realize that we are now paying 3 times the price for quicker processing than we was in 2003 to 2007

so thanks to MR. BUSH

WHERE IS ALL THE EXTRA HELP THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE HIRED TO SPEED THINGS UP??????????

PLUS WE DID HAVE

TEXAS, CALIFORNA, NEBRASKA, VERMOUNT ALL OF THEM WERE DOING K1 & K3'S NOW YOU ONLY HAVE CALIFORNIA AND VERMOUNT.

You are now paying 3 times the price for half the service.

:applause:

"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

I am not in the business of defending the VSC, but the extra help they hired IS speeding things up and it IS why you are angry that some case take longer than others. Cases were assigned BEFORE the new help was trained, once trained they were assigned cases which arrived after the ones already assigned so it will take some time for the whole process to even out. Like opening a new line in the checkout. You were already in line 46, line 123 opens and you stay in line 46 behind 34 others. The new guy gets new cases. Is it fair? NO. Is it Bush's fault? YES. Should your case be at CSC instead? YES. Are you picked on, downtrodden and discriminated against? YES. Now what? We all agree. Now what?

Now we can all bash BUSH or whoever you want and it does nothing to help your case and I will not apologize for having a case processed in 58 days, the AOS finished in less than that, and two no-questions-asked interviews.

What I will say is, get your interview documents ready, the next phase takes longer (can take much longer) and much will depend on you. If you wait for the embassy to send packet 3 and THEN start on those documents you have lost 4-5 weeks minimum. Some of the documents we needed for the interview took two months or more to prepare. We started on them before we filed the I-129f. It took more than two months to find my fiancee's original marriage certificate from her previous marriage because her divorce attorney never turned it in like she was supposed to. I made two trips to Ukraine and went to who knows how many government agencies and waited in God know's how many lines in crowded, dirty, dark hallways until we finally determoned NO ONE had this thing we needed and we got hold of her former attorney and "Oops, here it is, I guess I forgot to turn that in" So what happens if you wait until you receive the packet 3...6 weeks after your NOA2, and have a problem like that? 10-12 week delay? Oh yeah! Easily.

USE this time to your advantage. Heck, if my case had gone any faster I would never have finished all the remodeling work I did on our house before she arrived.

VERMONT! I Reject Your Reality...and Substitute My Own!

That's great! And really I am sorry anyone takes so long, but them's the facts. And if I sound less than sympathetic it is because I am that kinda guy. Just the facts. I am a professional engineer (don't you just hate 'em) and if the guage says "118" then damn it, it is 118, deal with it. Oddly enough, last year at this time VSC was the place to be and was far ahead of the CSC. Go figure.

 are you addressing this to me? I've been approved already. My husband already has the entire packet 3 in his hands, since I sent it to him as soon as we got our approval. We did hit another "snag" and got pulled for random AP at NVC. It's given us 50 more days of proof and counting

I waited over 8 months at vsc for a k3 approval and that was PLENTY of time to prepare.

The whole argument about the guy in line #46 and yada yada.... does this not happen at CSC? They process all of their petitions 70-75% faster. just food for thought. :)

Um, no. It was addressed to the OP. My wife also had packet 3 in her hands by the time we had the NOA2, but I had to do it in much less time than you and it was very stressful. Now don't you feel sorry for me? :) I guess when I encourage people to do this it is because I had so little time and had to hurry up. Heck, I had to do the whole thing, AOS and everything, in about the time you waited for the NOA2, don't you know I was a busy dude! I never want to go through THAT again. :)

And CSC only has 36 lines, so NO, it does not apply to them. We need to reduce lines, I agree with you. Obama can change that, I am surprised he hasn't already. Y'know, if we would just reduce it to ONE service center then it would all be fair because there would be no comparison. Yeah, that's the ticket. Change we can BELIEVE IN!
