na miss ko na ang kinilaw na tamban sa amin..tsaka pritong tamban..miss ko na rin ang tyan ng bangus..miss ko na rin ang itlog sa pinas...iba ang lasa ng itlog dito..miss ko na rin ang mara clara soup ng papa ko...huhuhu..miss ko na ang durian...miss ko na ang alige ng alimango...miss ko na ang danggit...miss ko na ang letsong manok sa pinas...miss ko na ang lechong baboy...miss ko na ang handaan..kakaiba pa rin ang pagkaing pinoy...nakakamiss...di mapantayan ng pagkaing kano.

You can get fresh bangus in Honolulu. Tilapia naman. They raise them there.

I caught 7 alimango kahapon. Masarap!

Yep! I set a trap in mangrove swamps. I used to raise tilapia naman. Go look in Ala Moana harbor. It's LOADED with tilapia!

wow...but i dont know about setting a trap...i dont even know where is ala moana harbor...we are here in waikiki..i am not familiar with the places here yet..in pinas we just buy alimango and fish..so easy in pinas.

Ala Moana canal and harbor are near the Ala Moana Shopping Center. You'll know where that is.

Nope ! We live on another island. We visit Oahu a lot tho!

Ala Moana canal dumps into Ala Moana Harbor where the Ilikai hotel is.

I wouldn't eat anything from there tho. Water is pretty polluted.!

LOL what i miss in philippines is my family thats all.... :( . never really miss our food that much back there coz i can get some of those here in asian market !

I missed the daing and tinapa. I discovered that if you heat up smoked salmon in microwave for less than a minute, it tastes like tinapa. My husband was giving me a ####### look when i heat up the smoked salmon. Sarap! :thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:

Hahahaha hala ka, paano kasi di ka pweding magluto jan, ako parati nagluluto ng filipino food but i cant find dried fish even at Asian Market, there's a tilapia in a grocery store....

You live in Hawaii, and in Waikiki. You should go to Chinatown and look at the markets there. I have a client who owns a Filipino restaurant and she goes to Chinatown to get Filipino food. Also there is a big Filipino store in Waipahu. I live on Kauai and and my wife can get almost any food that she craves from the Philippines. You are lucky to be in Hawaii, plenty of Filipinos there.

yeah i know where chinatown here and its messy there...its way cleaner in davao...hehehe..and i dont want tinapa...yes there are filipino foods here but ahhh no fun...i still miss filipino food...filipino food that is cook in the pi...and i just miss the food yesterday coz i was hungry...i was thinking what to eat..then i just had pizza..after i was done eating i didnt miss filipino food anymore...as of now...nope i dont miss it coz im full from eating pancakes..

as long as im not hungry i wont miss filipino food..hehehehe..
