Whats up with the beneficiary from Canada and USCIS?

I noticed a trend that most of the beneficiary from Canada has to wait longer, please tell me im wrong. This is what i have observed in the last 30 days.

Wait times differ from consulate to consulate.

In some cases it is a few weeks, in others it can be months.

For whatever reasons, Canadians do have long waits. All of us wish it weren't so.

I noticed exactly same thing back in August. Some of canadians had to go through additional background checks.

I might be wrong, but I think previous long stays or frequent visits to the USA may triggers additional background checks. In my case I lived in the USA for over 7 years (plus I'm from the Muslim country), and now my case is with FBI since Nov 08. It's been almost 13 months that my I-130 is pending with USCIS and I was recently told nto to inquire on my my case for another 6 months.

You are not wrong. More trips can trigger more checks, as I was told by a USCIS inspector.

His advice was for the person not to travel to the USA after you receive the NOA2, because of multiple hits in the databases. Of course this doesn't discount trips made prior to the petitions.

Also, because of the current climate of terrorist activity, flags are raised on people from "muslim" countries.
