we got the appointment letter and it came with a supplemental paper, "Interview Document Check List".

The actual appointment letter asks to bring a few items to the interview:

NOA letter of appointment

PR card

PR's passport

PR's ID

marriage cert.

spouse's US birth cert.

while the supplemental checklist says to provide all of the above AND:

3 yrs taxes

proof of marital union (co-mingling accounts, etc.) and proof of residence

childrens birth cert.

there were other items listed which weren't applicable to us

(child supt. obligations, unpaid owed taxes, military service, arrests, crimes, etc.)

It asks for originals AND photocopies of each item for the interview.

Okay, we submitted ALL of this stuff when when applying for the N400...I'm confused  What do we bring?

I'm thinking an info pass appointment will be necessary. That said, can anyone who's "been there, done that" shed some light?

Thanks!

Wow, there really seems to be a difference between offices. My interview letter asks for a lot less things. But I'll take just anything I can think of, just to be on the safe side (and probably I'll still be missing something... )

well, like I said, the actual interview letter provides the "short list' of items (plus provide originals of those copies of supporting documents submitted with the N400 application)

It's the supplemental check list that is throwing me off. It's basically telling us to assemble ALL supporting docs (exactly like we did when we applied for the N400). Bring the originals AND photocopies of each of those items.

ah... I'm just going to bring a "small suit case" full of everything. I mean it's the last step, can't afford to screw it up last minute, so next year when I file, I'll bring everything from the beginning to the interview, all originals, if they want to make copies of it, fine, if they want to keep one or two original bank statements, fine with me too, I can print them out online again anyways.
