Good morning all..... It's lovely so far, here in LA... but expecting rain later - alhamdoulillah, we need it so badly! My gig last nite went super duper well!!! It turned out that the owner is Moroccan (I didn't know going in) and they serve several Moroccan dishes.... well, you can imagine I was in heaven! He was really nice and was the perfect owner. All the customers were very appreciative and enjoyed the show- I got many compliments (& tips!) . I also came home w/ a big plate of lamb & vegetable couscous. The owner really liked my music and dance style and asked me to please come back - asked if I could get on the regular schedule.... and to please bring Said in when he gets here! We will definitely go for a nice Moroccan meal when he comes! :luv: I was just tickled pink.... :dancing:

Howdy all! Have a busy day planned today. I just have to get out of the house. Gotta go fight the crowd at Bass Pro to get a fishing pole for my dad for Father's Day. Then my best friend from Houston is visiting and we're takingthe kids to the pool for the afternon. I'm sure I will end up being a crispy bubbly! :D

I had my lake walk, then when I was walking in the phone rang and it was Mohammed so snuggled on the phone with him for awhile. All showered and fresh now, finishing laundry then I will go to my son's baseball game in the afternoon. After that, meet Mohammed again for chat, then probably a movie.

Mary, good to see you! It's been a while....

Wadi broke his toe last night! He was playing soccer barefoot on the beach and he fractured and dislocated his second toe. He had to get stiches too because the bone broke the skin. :(

The doctor told him 2 to 3 weeks minimum before he's back on his feet, and there's a possibility of surgery as well. So now he has to quit his job and we'll be back to square one. Sigh, not a good Friday.... Hope Saturday is better!

Damn soccer!

Oh Jenn, that sucks!!! I hope he's at least not in too much pain. He'll find another job fast I'm sure. I'll have to have Majid visit him to keep him company, they can watch the World Cup together maybe....

Noura I'm glad everything went well last night! Mmm, lamb and couscous...

Jean keep taking those walks, I'm sure they're doing you a world of good.

Meriem have fun with the baby! I'm jealous, I don't ever get to see my niece and nephews because they live in California

Mary, good to see you, and I see in your sig you've got the green card now. Woohoo!

Jess, I know what you mean about not being able to stay mad at your guy. I'm amazed your silent treatment lasted 20 minutes, I can't ever make it past 2 minutes :P

Amy, wear sunscreen!!!!

Rahma, yay X-files!

We're just lazing around the house this morning, then we both work this evening. It's a shame we're not outside since it's a beautiful day, but the World Cup is apparently more important than being outside. I hope Ghana wins, they're playing Czechoslovakia, and I'd like to see one of the African teams have a little luck.

Thanks, Sharon. The Ultram seems to be working pretty well - thank God for drugs!

Definitely send Majid over! Wadi was just saying that the only good thing about this is that at least the World Cup will keep him occupied!
