N- 400

I check the status on line every day (maybe more then once a day ).

It usually says Package N400 Rec on Dec 29 2008 and processing .

Today I checked and it said " Case incomplete for online status"

What does that mean ?? any ideas any one

I've never seen that before but my guess would be that something went wrong with the process that updates the online status from the USCIS system - and the DB used for online status only got a partial record transferred.

For the most part though, it's a bit pointless checking the N400 status online, since it's rarely updated there for anything meaningful... that being said - I check on a regular basis myself... but at least I know it's futile...

I'd sit tight and not worry for now.

However, think of it this way - this is the END of your immigration Journey.

I went on an infopass appointment to ask about my missing Bio letter (futile) - and was asked by the lady to move first in this direction to one desk, then in the other to another... she appologized for making me dance... I told her - "I don't care! I'll dance if you want me to! Once this process end's I'm done with you forever! that's something worth dancing over" - she smiled and agreed with me...

So I guess you're "swing-dancing"

I think I could get my husband to do some kind of dance. 20 years ago when we met, he warn me that he does not dance . I think he would belly dance if USCIS asked him to

My case was NEVER online, believe me I checked my number and it always said it was impossible to get any info or some other ####### like that, not even at the beginning, the only reason I know they got my packet was because they cashed the check. I hope it makes you feel better, all I can say is be patient, if there is something wrong they will send you a letter telling you how to fix it. There are no problems, in fact start studying for your test because you'll have that interview in no time

My case was NEVER online, believe me I checked my number and it always said it was impossible to get any info or some other ####### like that, not even at the beginning, the only reason I know they got my packet was because they cashed the check.
