Renew H1B with pending I-485 AOS

Hello! I'm new to this website. Just want to clarify because different people have diff opinions. I already have an EAD for 2 years and just had it renewed for another 2 years. I have an approved LCA and I-140 with pending I-485 filed. My H1b will expire on May of 2009 with EAD will expire Sept of 2010. Is it a good thing to renew my H1b (i've been here of 8 years now). What are the chances of I-485 being denied? What will happened if i-485 will be denied and H1b expired? What will happened if i-485 denied and H1b renewed? Thanks ahead for your contributions. :bonk:
