Hi guys! I just arrived in the US Feb18. :dance: Do i have to apply for my SSN or is it already included in my visa application? should i just wait for it to arrive? Thanks again!

Sept 11 - Touched

Oct 17 - Approved

Nov 11 - Received DS3032 (beneficiary)

Nov 12 - Received AOS bill and DS3032

- Mailed DS3032

Nov 13 - Paid AOS online

Nov 14 - Shows PAID

Nov 17 - Sent AOS documents

Nov 18 - IV Bill generated

Nov 20 - Paid IV Bill Online

Follow these instructions and when you arrive at the office, they may not have the card quite ready, but you'll have a SSN, which you can use until the card arrives in the mail.

All of you wrong wrong wrong. This person has an immigrant visa, so they don't have an I-94.

If you checked off on the DS-230 to be assigned an SSN give it three weeks and then go into a SSA office.

Take proof of age, identity and work authorized alien status.

Birth certificate, passport and I-551 card or MRIV with temporary I-551 language should be enough to take into the SSA office.

hi,

i arrived here in usa jan 27 and my green card arrived in mail feb. 14..

no ssn arrived in mail after 3 weeks of waiting since i arrived so feb 18 me and my husband went to ssn office and applied and feb 24..today..my ssn arrived. :)

so just wait...since you are immigrant it will just arrive in mail too.
