We've been approved!!!!

I can't believe i'm finally getting to type this! We've been approved!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I checked at work this afternoon on my bosses computer and there was no change since our September 9th NOA1. 5 minutes later I changed computers as someone was asking me how the visa thing works, how you check it etc, logged on and the date had changed!! My heart jumped into my mouth, I hit the link to our case to see if the status had changed and it said approved!!! I was jumping up and down, nearly cried, I thought it was never going to arrive!!

It is dated yesterday (23rd) but status changed today (24th) at 3.45pm UK. 120 on Igors list (I'm going to update timeline after this!). So it was 166 days from NOA1!!

I emailed our congressman last week, big hoohah ensued as it turns out he is a friend of my soon-to-be father-in-law. Well, he writes back to the father-in-law thinking its HIM who wants a fiancee visa (my fiance and F-I-L have same name)!!! So, who knows if it is a coincidence or if he got it approved??!!

I can't tell you how happy we are, I seriously can't calm down!!

Oh, I forgot to mention that we were fully expecting a RFE as we forgot to include the letters of intent to marry and put N/A in boxes that you were supposed to put 'none' in!!

I hope that happens to us too! I briefly wrote "We plan to marry at the Circuit Court in ****, Virginia after he arrives" at the end of the How we met answer to #18 because the book I bought (I hadn't found VJ yet) said for the intent part to include any wedding plans that have been made. Well since we are just having a courthouse wedding, that's all I had!! I hope we don't get an RFE either!!!!

Thank you all for the messages, it truly hasn't sunk in yet.....I'm in the process of leaving my job and moving out (decided a week last Sunday) so have been super busy this past week, as a result I am in the middle of having people come round to look at stuff to buy or to see if they want the flat so my head is spinning with so much stuff.....wow. Its funny, this past week i'd resigned myself to the fact that it really was going to be a long time and had totally backed off checking my status every 5 minutes! The shock on my face when I saw it had changed must have been a picture

I've put a bottle on ice, i'm definitely celebrating this!
