Can someone explain how people that have applied after me are getting their NOA2!!!Don't get me wrong I'm pleased for everyone but just so frustrated.

Petition adjudication is a multi-step process. So, while the first steps may be taken in order of receipt date, delays can arise between any two steps. They don't delay processing other petitions so all are completed the same day. They simply get on with their work.

If your petition has been delayed, anybody's guess as to why would be as good as any other guess.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...

There doesn't seem to be any rhyme nor reason to how USCIS processes cases. We found it very frustrating throughout the whole process as we watched people who applied for various applications getting approved in much shorter times that we did.... and we had NOTHING exceptional or questionable about any of our cases.

All you can do is just wait your turn for your approvals, and remember that soon it will be all over.

Good luck and best wishes for an approval soon.

Keep in mind that VJ is approximately only 5% of the total petitions actually sent to the USCIS. Once a petition arrives, it's put into a standard format and stored away with others from around the same time. Each time an adjuticator is finished working on the box of petitions they had, they go get another and begin work on those. Each adjuticator is very different... we know this from how many do/do issue RFE's for certain things, how long it takes them to deal with an RFE and those who do and do not scan (aka touch). So I think it's pretty fair to assume that each one works at a different pace. The good news is that if those who filed around you are getting approved...unless you're stuck in Security checks.... chances are you're not too far off. ;)

On a personal note, I can tell you that these latter stages of waiting for that NOA2 are the absolute worst.... stay strong. It's coming!

moving from K-1 General to Filing and progress for obvious reasons...

That's my theory, too. In every job I've had, I noticed that people work at VERY different paces. I'm sure it's the same with the adjudicators... some may take a month to get through 200 while another takes 5 months.

I just hope my petition is in the stack of the fast worker.

Wow... since april. That is crazy, especially since the CSC updated their processing timelines, to reflect that they are now processing cases from 6 months ago.

When you called customer service, and informed them that you are well outside the CSC processing timeline... what did they tell you?
