Dani and I have received so much info and help from this site and the members on this Discussion Board that we would like to give back and help out in any way we can. I am so used to being the one giving info and advice to others on a topic I am familiar with; starting this K1 Fiance Visa process has been quite the opposite experience! We are both Masters swimmers, Dani is a triathlete, and have huge backgrounds in training and nutrition, and one of our goals once together in the US is to start up a sport-specific nutrition consulting business...

I recently saw some threads on here about getting in shape, losing weight, gaining muscle, etc. Feel free to pick our brains and ask questions and we'll be happy to help others out here.

Stay Healthy!

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

I did a hundred leg lifts yesterday, on your back lift your feet about 6" off the floor, and let them down without touching the floor and go back up again.

Sure a racket on all this exercise equipment, don't need it, many a pole for pullups, but just have to find a floor for pushups. Situps are really good for the gut.

We never had the ####### in the military, just load 70# of rocks in your backpack and go for a 25 mile run. Hate to say that my wife is a sucker for this stuff, we buy it and it gathers dust. And what's more boring than running in the same spot on a threadmill, go outside and look at the trees or the neighborhood.

Another good form of exercise is building a house, fixing up the yard, working on a vehicle, at least you are getting something accomplished while working out. Ha, wax on wax off.

A teen I know has a theory that they will eat very well and stay thin until they turn 30. Then they will indulge on everything they passed up food-wise before that. I imagine they figure they'll be married and maybe have a kid or two and will just get fat. I asked if they thought 30 was the end of the world, they said no that 40 was the real beginning. Confusing, eh? I am trying to make my life the opposite way! :P It's time for the less fat time of my life!

Married since 9-18-04(All K1 visa & GC details in timeline.)

Great topic! I think it's a great idea not only to lose weight but to achieve fitness goals. I'd like to start jogging or even running again but for now I'll stick to my walking routing and keep on building.
