I130 got approved in Dec 08 but NVC did not send anything

Hello!

my husband had filed an application in March 08 - I130 that is...it got approved on 18th Dec 2008 along with the I129F application done in June 08...

now the problem is - inspite of about 2months after the approval the NVC does not show as our file papers received by it...no case number assigned for the I130 case...although the K3 papers have reached Mumbai consulate...there is nothing about the I130 that we have recieved...

it s very depressing...do not know how to deal with it...My husband has written letters to senators, inquired a million times about it in the local office there...but got know satisfactory answer...

please help!

If the the embassy in Mumbai has all of your paperwork for the K3 visa, it means that the approved petitions by the USCIS had had to go through the NVC in order to have a case number assigned to them. There is no way the embassy would've received anything that did not come directly from the NVC. So you should try calling the NVC again and speak with a customer care agent so you can get your case number from them.

KPSPPS - Have you called NVC and spoken to an operator and give them both USCIS numbers for the I-130 and I-129F. If Mumbai consulate has received your I-129F you can continue the K-3 route by submitting the packet 3 to the mumbai consulate. If you want to go for the CR-1, then you need to speak to an operator, and then a supervisor to figure out where your case is.
