    • I will give the money to charity.
      2
    • I will give the money to a loved one in need.
      4
    • I will burn the money in protest.
      3

    • Nothing different. $13 is not enough. It'll just go into savings.

it may just be $13. but im thinking of the larger picture. that money can help make for a community that has a tiny bit more cash on hand. that will eventually, trickle into the local economy, which is a good thing. whether or not that has a recession-stopping effect, i dont think so, but i dont imagine that is what the immediate objective was. i think it was to attempt lessen the pressure on many families struggling in this economy.

i will probably use it for food, in fact, ill probably splurge and buy something local (like cheese or bread or even beer!) which costs a little more, but supports people in my community at a time that they need the support.

heh, im surprised at the cynicism im reading. but then again, i voted with great joy for obama. i chose hope. and i choose hope.

edit: as for charity, my charitable impulses have increased in the last year. and i act on them.

Since cigs went up about 12-13 a carton, I guess that's where it will go. :P

"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

flawed poll. given the amount of layoffs announced so recently, one could always vote for "drive what, my car got repossessed."

As of April 1st they cut everyone's pay where my Husband works - by 8% - so I suppose this will help make up for that
