Hello All!

Quick question, for the CR1 visa application, does the police character certificate get attached and sent with the DS230 form to the NVC or taken with to the interview at the USEM?

You send it with the DS-230 along with your birth and marriage certificates, passport photocopy, etc. At the interview, you'll get back all the DS-230 originals. If you send them copies of the whole package, they'll keep the copies at the embassy.

if you've lived in two or more countries, and got PCCs for them, the situation may be a little different.

In my case, I was born in one country but now live in another. The NVC operator told me I'll need to send only the PCC from my current place of residence with my DS-230; as for the PCC from my native country, I should bring it with me to the interview. Note she told me regarding the native country's PCC: "You need to time that" meaning it has to be valid at the time of interview (so it's a warning not to get it too early).

Nevertheless, we intend to send both my PCCs along with the DS-230. Like I said, they give it all back to you at the interview.
