A few months after i files the I-129F, my fiance in Vietnam gave birth to my baby boy. It has been one month since the baby was born. I already booked an appointment for Consular Report of Birth in 2 months. My fiance going to get a Vietnamese birth certificate for my son. The question is, both of the child parent's name can be on his birth certificate. Should i put mine on there too or i shouldn't? I am thinking it's better to put my name on it. Therefore, on the appointment date, they will see that my name is on the child birth certificate as a father. That will be one of the biggest evidence that i am the father. Which will give me more chances that i don't have to take a DNA test. What do you guys think, please help

ps. i have other evidence such as pictures of my fiance and i were together before , during and after she was pregnant. Will all of the stuff i've mentioned good enough not to take a DNA test?

another question, i want to name my baby boy Justin, should i put Justin on the Vietnamese birth certificate along with his vietnamese name also? or i should add it in at the CBRA's appointment?

You can not put your name in your son's Vietnam birth certificate as the father, because you aren't married yet, that is Vietnam Law. There will be the mother's name on it

And you can not put American name on Vietnam birth certificate too.

I thought you can put your name on baby's Vietnam BC. That is no problem because your fiance can give for baby a name although you and fiance still not get married yet. And your baby can get Justin name on it too.

If you show exactly proofs for embassy that show you have been stay with fiance before, during and after your fiance was pregnant, may be they will not need DNA test. Your fiance should keep all pictures, untrasound papers about her pregnant, bill when she was at hospital... !

Good luck to you !
