Yes but there is never any guarantees that your fiance will be granted entry. Many here on VJ have successfully visited their fiance/spouse during the process. Always a good idea to have on hand anything that can show ties to your fiances home country for if and when asked. This applies though for anyone visiting the US as all entering are looked on as intending immigrants.

All the best.

After I petition my fiancee for the K1 can she come on a tourist visa to visit me while the process is going on? Is that legal?

my fiance came in last tuesday in newark. he was questioned by the immigration officer in charge (the one hidden in the back room - lol) and explained about coming to visit his fiance and what is going on with imbra. the officer questioned the length of time - 3 months - and still let him through. this after we got as many documents gathered to get in - including a letter from my ob/gyn but he didn't have to show any. he was told however to come in with a visa next time. i would still get as many documents together - mortgage, rental lease, bank statements to show you have money and do not intend to work illegally, letter from employer, etc. i was also waiting there and available to if he needed me to talk with immigration as well.

and don't say you will be married during this entry!

go for it! and good luck!
