I am a U.S citizen, my wife is a Japanese citizen. CSC recived my petition on Jan 23rd 2009. I am guessing the best thing to do is sit back and wait for CSC to send me more information. does anyone out there have any advise of anything else I could do, and is there anything my wife could start working on in Japan before we hear from CSC?

the guides here will give you step by step instructions and you can get an idea of what you guys will need once approved.

you said "petition"..did you file for k3 or cr1?

this will make a difference in what she will need for the interview

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive,and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

I must have filed CR-1 Form (I-130) and (G-325A) , we have been married since dec. of 2008. I was told that doing the K-3 visa may actually slow things down.
