EAD and fingerprints again??

I sent in my AOS forms a while ago and never recieved my EAD. I never knew that I should have had one within 90 days until I found this forum. So I resent the I-765 (the EAD form) with the fee again. I just got my reciept (no EAD) from that saying that I have to wait for another letter to take my fingerprints again. The problem is that I just took them in May and have the interview coming up in July. Why do I have to do this again? Is it a mistake? Any experiences? When should I get the EAD?

The likely problem is that you now have two files at the National Benefits Center, and the database may not be matching them together. I think the only solution would be to schedule a infopass appointment at your local DO and explain the situation to an immigration officer.

However, since your interview is next month, all of this may be a waste of time. This is because if your interview is successful, then you will get greencard and your EAD will be worthless.

Yeah just wait for your Green Card. A month is not gonna change everything. Its too much work for nothing since u have your interview coming up next month.

Am I missing something here? There's no definite guarantee that the greencard comes at the AOS interview, in fact some people wait for up to 2 years for the greencard due to the FBI checks.

Good point. Although not everyone has to wait for the additional security checks, it is still something to consider.
