The following statment is from visaJournet K1 guide and requires the form I-134 to be notarized.

I-134 Affidavit of Support form. Ensure it is notarized (by a US Notary Public), with all required supporting evidence.

I am not sure a public notary would notarized this form with uncontrolable information like real estate value or personal properties. Sure I can get a statment from my banker, human resources or my life insurance but where do I get a statment about the value of my real estate?

Anybody got this problem?

There's no need for the I-134 to be notarized. That's the new instruction and there's a newly revised I-134 which has no place for the notary to sign on. The new I-134 just requires your signature.

Here are the links:

Unfortunatley, a lot of information in the guides is not up to date. The I-134 is no longer required to be notarized and there is no place for it on the form.

Additionally, a notary only verifies that you have signed the form, they don't verify the information on the form. If you meet the income requirements you don't need a statement from your banker anyhow.

The new ones do not require a notary, however the notary does not vouch for the content of the document, they vouch for the validity of your signature only. It verifies YOU stated it was true and it is was YOU who signed it.

US Embassy and Consulate General Discussion

You are almost there and now you have to deal with the embassy. This is the place to post your experiences or questions related to this last step before moving to the US. Topics relating to I-134's, packets sent from consulate and medical & police certificates should be posted here.
