Hi everyone,

We are putting together everything for our AOS/Green Card interview on Monday. On the list of items to take to the interview, they say,

Bring Originals and copy of each supporting document that you submitted with your application. Otherwise we may keep your originals for our records.

What do they mean?

Do we take the original I- 129F or are they looking for everything that we ever submitted?

Any replies would be greatly appreciated. We are sick of this whole damn thing, so the sooner we get it over with the better!!

Thanks guys.

Take all paperwork associated with your case. Make a copy for the USCIS, otherwise they may want to keep the original.

I took everything we submitted. And had a copy for them. Including our I-129F. I wanted no chance for an RFE or to give uporiginal paperwork.

I have the same notation on my interview letter.

I'm pretty sure it's in regards to the AOS application, but I too will dig up the I129F and try to get a full copy of it together to take with me.

Good lord, Staples should get some type of free advertising from Immigration. lol.

I took the originals of everything - birth certs, marriage licence, etc.

We were not asked for any originals.

The most important thing they wanted to see were joint taxes, bank accounts, insurrance and pictures.

I did have a voided check from our joint account.

Advice: give the officer things even if not asked, especially supporting joint stuff.

Sometimes the decision is made elsewhere and if there's not enough stuff in your file there may be trouble.
