Reported my I-130 as outside posted processing times

Following the update of VSC processing times from Friday (2/20), it appeared that my petition is held up for some reason, as it has been more than 6 months since i got NOA1. I called the 1-800 number today. Got through to a very very nice customer service representative. He took all my information, acknowledged that I am outside the posted processing times and said he will send a request to the service center. The gentleman provided me with a confirmation number of my request. He said I should receive an update within the next 45 days and if I don’t to call them back.

Just sharing what turned out to be a helpful call today.

That kinda suxs, for tehm to say wait 45 additional days for a reply!!!!!!!

Agreed, to them 45 days seems an insignificant delay. I am hoping to see an approval way before the 45 days are up.

Thanks. There shouldn't be background-check related issues, as I was recently naturalized, and part of that process involved a background check. Oh well, who knows.
