I was reading the assembling the I 129 check list

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...mp;page=k1guide

Item number 4 was a declaration about how you met somebody in the last two

years.

Declaration of how you met in person in the last two years.

This should be a single typed page attachment regarding question 18

of the I-129F. Make sure to sign and date it.

So my question is what are they really looking for ?

something like "duh I met the future Mrz 2tall fer reel & fer sure?"

signed 2tallbill?

or do they want a story about meeting through the internet, letters, phone calls,

skype, blah blah blah we met in the airport kissed and shazam !! ?? !!??

or something different?

Thanks

Bill

There is an example in the guides - check the link above.

Short and simple.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

They don't even care if there is a "shazam"

Here is mine in its entirety, well within a word or two:

"Returning from a trip to Ukraine on September 19, 2007 I had an overnight layover in Prague, CZ. I met Alla while waiting in line for bus tickets in the airport terminal."

I attached ONE photo of us together in a restaurnat that night (no time or date stamp) and my passport stamps and boarding passes for that trip. That's it. Approved without RFEs in 58 days. She is from Ukraine, I made NO explanation of how or why she was there in Prague. It is not important where or how you meet, only that you met. You do NOT need to explain your love story for the petition, all that comes with the K-1 interview
