Looking at today's visajourney processing times for I 130 Vermont V California we are approaching 100 days difference in their respective processing times. Does anyone think another batch of case transfers to California is in the offing. It would be interesting to know the REAL reason behind the discrepancy in processing times. I don't think for one moment that California is any more productive than Vermont. Perhaps their is a policy change about to occur whereas one center adjudicates only certain immigration processes.

Well whatever we shall wait and see what transpires over the following months :P

Best wishes to all

I know someone who just got approved in 40 days through Vermont. I've been in California for 48 days. Are you in the I-130 process or have you completed it?

USCIS

01/05/09 - Mailed I-130

NVC

03/13/09 - Case # assigned

04/15/09 - Case Complete

[/color]

Ciudad Juarez

06/02/09 - Visa Interview - canceled

09/17/09 - Visa Interview - denied

11/19/09 - Waiver Interview -approved next day

11/24/09 - Green Card and entered US

USCIS

09/21/11 - Mailed I-751

09/26/11 - I-751 delivered to CSC

09/27/11 - NOA1 date

Possible theories!

1) California is bigger so they have more people to work on Visa's

2) California is Broke so they can't pay their workers to care about keeping people out

3) Vermont starts with a V so they come after C

4) Vermont can't find the power button on their computers.

I've also noticed that with the CSC the files are "Somewhat taken in order of which they received the NOA1 as to where the VSC is doing some from last April and some from January.

USCIS

12/03/2008...Sent I-130 form

12/04/2008...Papers reached Chicago LockBox (1Day)

12/11/2008...NOA1 (7days)

12/22/2008...NOA1 hard copy received (11 days ~ Heavy Snowfall Delayed Mail)

03/14/2009...NOA2 (92 days from NOA1)

03/24/2009...NOA2 Hard copy received (No touches or web approval)

NVC

04/06/2009...Received by NVC (23 days from NOA2)

Yes we are currently waiting for our NOA 2 our I 130 NOA 1 date being 2oth Oct 2008.

Yes I have also noticed that Vermont appears to be approving petitions not in order of receipt with some people waiting an inordinate amount of time for approval and some flying through.

I am certainly of the belief that petitions should be adjudicated on a first come first served basis and cannot understand how couples with NOA 1's way before us are still waiting for approval and yet there are those who have NOA 1's past us who have been approved. There appears to be no logic to this :bonk:

I would like to think that there is a very valid reason for this but I would most certainly take a lot of convincing

Perhaps it is all the sunshine in California that brings out the smiles in the adjudicators and they just fly through the petitions :hehe: It is so easy when on the outside to criticize, I for one hate filling in the paperwork and as for dealing with it on a daily basis YUK.

Well this is good news as it will no doubt alleviate some of the pressure off Vermont. I was thinking as there had earlier been transfers to California and that Vermont seems to have been unable to catch up more transfers were indeed a possibility. Lets hope so

It would be cool if my prediction was correct Ha!

Best wishes to all and lets get those transfers moving

QUESTION!! I thought VSC transfered all 2008 pettions to CSC and are only dealing with 2009 received petition??? Was I dreaming, or have I've been taking too much Nyquil at night for this flu? :sleepy:

Thanks for any answers.

Truly happy!!!

I am afraid not. They appear to have sent a batch of 2008 petitions to CSC not them all. Yes my dear I am afraid you need to lessen your medication Ha! Joking aside I wish they had transferred them all, but the next week should show up whether any transfer of cases gets up some steam again.

Best wishes

The flu is what I get, spent my honeymoon in Paris, packed all the wrong clothes, came home sick as a dog, and living on chicken soup and Nyquil.

Well one day VSC will get their act together like sunny CSC. Good luck and keep the faith Dearest.

I just wish I knew why we didnt get the approval when we were meant to.. It's kind of disheartening sitting here watching people with filing dates after ours getting their approvals from Vermont. We're July 17th for I130 & Aug 8th for K3, and have only had 1 touch total across both applications

I undertand how you feel when we first filed back in Jan. 2008. We would see all kinds of K1 filed way after us, and they were approved in record time, 25 days, 28 days, one was 15 days, talk about ripping our hearts out. UGH!!.

I dread going thru this whole process again, but I know why we do, as husband and wife we are meant to be, and we and you will all get thru this piss poor system at VSC. Keep faith.

Yes it is very disheartening, as I said previously sticking to first in first out is not only fair but gives people some idea of where they are in the process. Now if for some reason there is a problem, if one is notified...ie RFE or some other AP then again it puts ones mind at rest, knowing there is some progress being made. The way the system is now it appears to be very hit and miss. Unless of course I'm missing something, which given my age is possible Ha!

One must remember you get what you pay for  joking joking

I know that feeling, I turned 44 on Saturday, lol Oh well, your never too old to be in love!!! (L)(L)(L)

All this moaning, and groaning, and complaining gives us something to do while we pay USCIS $355.00 and wait for them to do their duites.

Only wish we were going to be at CSC instead of VSC VSC= Very Slow Center!!!!

Truly happy!!!

One good thing I noticed the USCIS processing times for VSC on the I-130 is now 6 months. Now we have some kind of a time schedule.
