No NOA, Checks haven't been cashed

After waititng for my SSN in the mail for a month, Im now having issues with my adjustment of status. I sent my papers February 11, 2009. They received it February 12, 2009 and today is Febuary 22, 2009 and I just checked my mailbox....and NADA! As in nothing, none, zero mail. To top it off, the two checks haven't been cashed. Im just so frustrated. I called and sent an e-mail to SSA. Nothing. No feed back. It's just so hard. Im beginning to think Im really a favorite in this immigration process. Sigh...

January 16, 2008 - sent I-129F (Vermont)

January 21, 2008 - NOA1

March 16, 2008 - NOA2

August 7&9,2008 - Medical K1&K2

August 21, 2008 - Paid document verification fee (P1,300)

August 27, 2008 - Interview

September 08,2008 - Document Verification request sent to NSO

Spetember 19,2008 - Document Verification done -sent back to US Embassy Manila

November 03, 2008 - Case under review

November 26, 2008 - VISA printed

November 28, 2008 - VISA in transit

December 02, 2008- VISA IN HAND

January 12, 2009 - Arrived USA, POE Los Angeles

January 21, 2009 - Got married

January 22, 2009 - Applied for SSN

February 11, 2009 - Sent our AOS packet to Chicago

February 12, 2009 - Packet received signed for by L BOX

February 22, 2009 - Received NOA1 for AOS, EAD & AP

March 17, 2009 - Biometrics Appointment

March 21, 2009 - SSN card arrived in the mail

April 6, 2009 - took driver's license exam and passed! (written and road test)

April 10, 2009 - Repeat Biometrics Appointment

April 14,2009 - Received AP documents in the mail

April 16, 2009 - Received EAD in the mail

SEptember 4, 2009 - GREENCARD received

im in the same boat. Although my wait hasnt been so long as yours im still very surprised they havnt cashed the cheque yet!

My only guess is that chicago may be slightly slower than say when we sent forms off to vermont and california. They were fast to cash the cheques and so we only have that to really compare the process to.

Im just hoping theyre slow to cash the cheques and fast to process the papers which is different that the CSC to say the least haha

I was about to add that they received my AOS package on the 11th and they finally cashed my money orders on the 20th. Took them a long time to do that and I am not the only one who was in the same boat I think. i guess i'll wait now as we should have NOAs soon as well :)

I sent my AOS package in at 2/13. They cashed my checks on 2/25 but I still have no received the NOA. Getting very worried

i wouldn't worry yet. we sent ours early on feb 12th and received an noa1 dated for 20th last monday. your package probably got held up a bit, what with 16th being a holiday. i'm sure you'll hear something soon!

Yay.. I got the NOAs in the mail today. I guess now I have to wait for the biometrics appointment.
