Applying for 2nd Greencard (DCF), anyone ever done this?

Apologies if this is in the wrong section, I'm not sure where my question belongs!!

I was a member of VJ when myself and DH went through the K1 process in 2005, this resulted in a move to the US and a 2 year greencard. However, we moved back to my home after about a year in the US and I handed my greencard back to the US Embassy here in Ireland. I wanted to do everything right.

We are now about to begin to file for the IR-1 visa (I think that's it's name - I've been away from visa stuff for awhile so am a bit rusty!) via DCF in Ireland. So my question is....

Has anyone ever had a greencard, moved back to their home country with their husband and re-filed (same DH ) again for another one ...yes, I know it's confusing And what was the outcome?

I believe this has been done before with little problems. And you are filing DCF in Ireland, so it's much easier than doing the NVC dance.

Yeah, we'll do DCF through Ireland. We haven't sent off the I-130 yet but will in the next 2 weeks.

One of the ladies that was at the embassy at the same time as me for her interview had this, they moved back to Ireland due to wanting family near when they started a family themselves, and then (I think she said 5 years later?), wanted to move back to the USA. She had to return another day as she forgot to bring her husband's tax returns but while her interview seemed to last a bit longer than mine, as far as I know she got approved.

We moved home to have kids and have my family nearby too. And I imagine they will have more questions for us, but hopefully it'll all go ok.
