We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

Republicans must think letting uninsured but critically ill patients die of curable ailments promotes the general welfare of "we the people".

I don't.

:secret:

As long as its not happening to them. Then its another story of course.

Then again some of them could get all scientific and all... and say that's one form of 'natural selection' that in reality has nothing to do with actual natural selection.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

Universal health care isn't FREE! What a crock of ###### What is required is reform of some description because currently the only people who get decent care from system are the insurance companies with their profits. The whole point of reform is to create a bigger pool so that people who pay heavily into the system (those with existing problems normally) get something out of the system aside from bankruptcy.

Personal responsibility my ###### ####.

was this in bold supposed to make some sort of sense?

To some that's not a bad idea. They'd shoot themselves as some critically ill have sought to do when faced with no other feasible idea. :(

Are you all lumping every single Republican together under one loser-ish view? I don't know why I am asking, because that IS what most of you are doing.

Na... check out the use of the word extreme in those posts sister. :D

There are totally moderate Republicans that are not that bad, IMO.

Yes, only health insurance companies benefit from the current system. How hard is that to understand?

you were talking about who got decent care from the current system - not profits.

No, I think the OP point is that the more moderate voice of the GOP has been drowned out by the extreme right wingers who seem to spout 'no taxes' rhetoric (for example) without seeming to provide viable alternatives. That is pretty lame - if true.

Yes, only health insurance companies benefit from the current system. How hard is that to understand?

No, I was saying first of all that Universal health care is NOT something for nothing.

I then went on to say that the only winners in the current US system are the health insurance companies.

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .
